I remember building this when I was about eight years old (in second grade). It took about four days of nothing but legos, and it was since destroyed and rebuilt twice. It was destroyed a third time by accident. Good times, never rebuilt since.

u know they say rules r ment to be broken, the instructions say to put the legos in colored order or whatever but i personally just open all the bags and put it all in one massive pile, it takes me twice as long but i make it fun, next time try it, oh and u dont have to be laying on the ground but you can be on your knees, ts alot more fun that way

When I build Lego sets I just open all the bags and put all the pieces together in a box I use to hold them while I build the set. It takes me a lot more time to build them, but I have more fun that way.

you just did a couple of things wrong:

1) when you play with legos you have to do it like every other little kid: take all the pieces and throw them in a giant pile so you have to sift through them to get the one you want. that way its more fun.

2) whats with the table. its always recomended to get on the floor and spread the legos all around you.

Especially when building the larger sets that take many hours! Myself and my son sit at the dining table and build our kits. I wouldn't recommend putting the instruction book UNDER the model whilst building though!

The only set I ever pre-sorted was the UCS Millenium Falcon. I sort into categories like technic, slopes, wings, plates, tiles, and bricks. and then I sub-sort by color if necessary. As I move along, I pair down my sorting into small plastic bins. Check out the beginning of my UCS Millenium Falcon video to see what I mean.
