As a mage you can blink back through the portal once inside the sunwell plateau. You then end up on the island, and you can walk up to the magister's terrace to slow fall to Muru's room, as shown in this video

this doesnt work anymore, but skywitch cape is much better for any1 but mages to free fall. u dont need multiple attempts falling to ur death and using up your silver and no trip to gadgetstan
