  • David Rowntree is a bully, and I cannot forgive him for how he treated Nardwar in that blur interview. Shame on you David Rowntree.

  • Hanging baskets? When the hell did Dave Rowntree find the time to think that one up?? I understand the deprivation part and I understand that he is trying to get into politics instead of sitting on his arse coming up with shit views.

  • Why would anyone want to get into politics? What a fucking pain in the ass. I hate politics.

  • @drunkenstooge but it governs every aspect of life, everyone should show some interest in it, it may be dull at times but it effects your life everyday

  • AND WHEN SHE LETS ME SLIP AWAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY

SHE TURNS ME ON AND ALL MY VIOLENCE GONE

    NOTHING IS WRONNNNNNNNNNG

I JUST SLIIIIIIIIP AWAY AND I------- am gone.

    /No comment on politics.

  • Forgive my ignorance, is it connected to your head bone?

  • What does marleybone high mean?

Do we all have a marleybone?

  • keep banging dave

  • thanks!

  • i know Im going to sound very stupid, but im young and Im 11. this is going to be very hard to explain. What exactly is labor? i know its work, but... i think you guys get me, IDk

  • Labor in literal terms can be considered physical work. But since you most likely don't live in the U.K., the Labour Party is actually a political party there. I don't live there either so I have absolutely no idea what they stand for, I just know that they are fairly popular and that former prime minister Tony Blair was one of them

  • They have been the governing party in the United Kingdom since 1997. They WERE very popular from 1997-2003 but that lessened after Tony Blair supported the Iraq War. In the last few months they have become slightly more popular because Gordon Brown, the current Prime Minister of Britain, is more experienced in economic matters than the leader of the Conservative Party (opposing party) and the British public trust him more to handle the recession, which we are all praying will end sometime soon.

  • They are the Left party, the Conservatives are the right, and the liberal democrats are the third-place, third-rate, scraggy in-the-middle 'other party' that nobody really cares about anymore.

  • while it's true that the liberal party has been ignored recently, since labour became 'new labour', it's become progressively more and more right-wing to the point that the liberal democrats are now the most liberal option of the 3 main parties.

  • @FriedEggsandChips things have changed a bit since you wrote that haven't they :L

  • @JamesBCS No. I don't think so.

  • @FriedEggsandChips well I know that support for lib dems is at an all-time low, but its not as though no-one cares about them now. They're part of the government and could be part of many more if AV gets through. I'd also say that many people in the lib dems are further left than some people near the top of labour. The line between the parties isn't as easily visible as you tried to make out a year or so ago.

  • @JamesBCS The line between the parties may not be as visible, and my original answer was very basic, however the person asking the question originally was asking for a basic definition. Officially the conservatives are the right, labour on the left, however mixed they may be. But of course such definitions are pretty archaic.

I don't know what to say on the lib dem subject - I don't know anything about them, or care, or care to find out.

  • @FriedEggsandChips fair enough, it's how most people feel, understandably :P

  • @JamesBCS :P

  • @JamesBCS I don't mean to be rude, that's just how I feel about modern politics.

  • OK VVendettaz you need to shut up, you might not like Labour, I'm not a big UK Labour supporter myself, but people still have the right to believe and support what they want without someone constantly trying to shove it down thier throats.

  • If Dave Rowntree is so concerned about getting into office, why doesn't he choose a safe Labour seat or ward rather than a safe Tory one? At least then he would get elected.

  • bloody hell, calm down mate i complimented you. no need to be so " i know more than you " kinda thing.

im not a brainwashed fool, wtf!

  • haha, u know ur politics ;)

  • Peter Garret from Midnight Oil is now Australian environmental minister.

Poor Dave though, that Nardwuar vid's pretty much destroyed peoples view on this man

  • And that's his own fault.

  • I support labour. But he has not behaved in a good way to the interviewer. Labour should be about tolerance hs showed contempt in the video i saw. Imagine if he had treated this interviewer thet way he did in the Nardwuar video.

  • I am dissapointed this guy has been chosen. He seems a bully boy from the video I saw.

  • None of the big 3 parties are really 'rock' parties now are they though?

Although Labour pre 1997 was quite strongly supported by Britrock, naively of course.

Same with students and the Lib Dems now, they're seen as a 'nice' alternative.

If the Lib Dems ever got into power I guarantee they'd soon become as distrusted as Labour and the Tories. Corruption, unpopular laws, etc.

Just comes with the territory of holding power, you wont by squeky clean for very long.

  • this is the Dave Rowntree interviewed by Nardwuar. Nice guy.

    see clip 'Nardwuar vs. Blur'

  • what can musicians not have a political agenda yo tosser.

  • Am I not entitled to my opinion?

  • Carrying on the same rhetoric: Isn't tom7155 also entitled to his opinion?

  • Yes

  • this is the weirdest thing I've ever watched. I used to know this guy.

  • He lost...

  • NO! He should be ashamed of himself!

I can't believe he stood for NEW LABOUR, erkkk, after all this government has done.. I thought he was better than that :(

  • nah, calm down - labour isn't that bad. the parliamentary gangsters are, but there are still plenty of good councillors, and even about 15 or 20 good Labour MPs..i reckon dave would be fair good..
