Interesting. They don't mention freeing the miners that were trapped there since the 50's. . this is probably the only instance that we've seen a monster kill a human in the series, even if it was indirectly.

@KamuiRosso: Even if they did break that silver, those miners would probably be already dead... encased for over 50 years like that. Interesting point you made there, that *is* the only time I can recall that people actually died [not sure whether it's a good thing, but it's definitely a realistic touch].

@TheMrComic Well, probably because they thought that Godzilla would be able to take care of himself...you know...since he's 400 feet long, 300 feet tall, is extremely strong, unbelievably fast, incredibly agile, has a nigh-unmatched healing factor in addition to being immensely durable, is fiercely intelligent and cunning in combat, and oh yes, can breathe nuclear fire. Whereas they on the other hand, are merely puny human beings.
