  • letters like this are what make even continue to have faith

    F A N T A S T I C Jon & Chris

  • GOD BLESS CHRIS LEDOUX!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!ï»¿

  • Unfortunately your heart did stop banging, Chris, and we still miss you!

  • Unusual

  • I met Chris several diffrent time at shows in Okla. he loved talking to his fans he signed my hat and I'll be damned if it didn't get lost when I moved

  • o this is good

  • One of my all time favs. Ledoux and Bon Jovi are a hit. Robust musical mix. Great message. Love this. Thanks, Chris and Jon, for the great sounds.

Chris will be missed. We lost a great artist.

  • I love the collaboration. The fact the icon JBV recognized Chris' greatness & was down with doing a duet with him. I saw Chris @ billy bob's in early 2002. "Where Were You When The World Stopped Turning" (Alan Jackson) was still huge & Chris said I haven't written a song about 9-11, but I think this one conveys the right message & busted into Bang a Drum. Damned if I didn't choke up a bit. RIP Chris!

  • I worked security at his last show in Casper, Wyoming. The man emanated love for his audience and for his country. He was the real deal folks. No doubt about it.

  • Love this song. Best one done by Ledoux and he did a lot of great ones.

  • Thanks Chris: Your music always brings back lots of great memories. I remember Amarillo By Morning before George recorded it. I am sure all of the rodeo people feel the same and love and miss you. I wish I still had the 8 tracks we listened to!! I guess God needed a rodeo cowboy/musician!! Tina - Sizemore Livestock, Red Bluff California

  • I´ll fucking bang it loudly. Great version of this song. Never heard it before.

  • was that hte saddle buggie band?

  • Chris Ledoux... To me, an immigrant to this country, Chris Ledoux epitomized the American spirit.

Rugged, Beautiful, modest, good-hearted, bigger than life, kind, adventurous, polymorphic, courageous and gracious.

I still mourn him all these years after his passing. I think America lost a little bit of soul with Chris' passing, but thankfully his music remains to remind us to walk a little bit straighter, to smile a little bit brighter, and to try a little bit harder.

    Thank you, Chris Ledoux

  • There is nothing better than a good hearted country song. Except for when it comes from the hearts of two great singers. God bless Chris and may he rest in piece.

  • Love chris ledoux. Home town boy!!!

  • Chris live in peace and Jon Bon Jov continue to rock on

  • I remember hearing this song on a country station back in 2005, and for some reason I knew he had died. Great song regardless if Jon Bon Jovi sings it, or a duet with him. Great video as well. Much like Johnny Cash,, Chris LeDeoux makes a song his own.

  • he died on may 9 in 2005 and he died of a rare liver cancer

  • This was a song originally on one of Jon's solo albums, "Blaze of Glory." Chris sa'sid it was one of his favorite songs. They seem to have brought it down a string or two. I guess neither can sing the As or C5s anymore. Too bad. Rest in peace, Chris.

  • We felt the loss in Canada too.

  • I grew up in Kaycee wy where chris lived and he was an awesome man who is missed by the whole country community

  • Novemberrainlove? Where is the "love" part? I just see the hate :-( Opinions are like assholes...... everyone has one and the ones that feel the need to spew theirs are usually the biggest ASSHOLES!

  • you are an fat asshole so fuck off when you not can talk nice about Jon, asswipe

  • Two big voices!

  • WE miss you , Chris.

  • I miss you, Chris.

  • Excellent! There sure aren't any like Chris in todays country music!!

  • Yea, not even worth watching the Top 20 Coundown anymore. Just a bunch of city folks.

  • i prefer jon's version but maybe it's because i love jon and i'm a huge fan or maybe it's because i don't know chris that well.. anyway, i still think that even though chris is a great vocalist, jon's version is better..

  • I'm glad that Chris, in his later days, teamed up on projects like this... they might help bridge the gap for the younger generations trying to accept "older music".

Chris documented a way of life on the road that has now died in America... I hope, for our kid's sake, that they find their way to discover some of the richness that our country now has lost.

  • btw, full credit to Jon Bon Jovi, both for writing a superior song, and for choosing to acknowledge those who inspired him.

  • I'm glad that Chris, in his later days, did projects like these, that might help bridge the younger generations into his music. Not to be high-faluting about it, but he did document a way of life on the road in America that is dead and gone now... I hope that many young people find their way over that "old stuff" bump and re-discover the country we once were.

  • great song!

  • I can't watch Chris without finding tears down my face. Talent like his shouldn't die. Let's hope our next generation can appreciate him.

  • Amen.

  • It really is a sad story

  • This is a great song. I sure miss listening to Chris.

  • Thanks for posting this....I hadn't seen Chris since the late 70's early 80's.... world champion bareback rider...Still have many of his old cassettes from 'haulin' days

  • this song is awesome, i love this album...

  • I love this song, it's incredible good!

  • GOOD VIDEO! RIP CHRIS! You will NEVER be forgotten!

  • I love this song! It's been a longtime favorite!

  • chis ledoux is my dad's cousin and bon jovi makes good music but what i am saying is that chris ledoux is my grandpa's sisters son!!!!!!

  • why did you just say he is your dads 1st cousin? haha

  • R.I.P. Chris, you'll always be my hero!

  • What burns me is our so called radio stations don't have a clue of what country music is. put on a cowboy hat on this guy and there you are, a country singer.

THIS IS COUNTRY! Alan Jackson. George Strate. Chris LeDoux showed them all.

  • personally i think this song is way better with chris, i like jon but chris is just god lol.

  • blaze of glory for me, is the best album jon has done.

  • On March 9th I'm asking all Chris LeDoux fans to call their radio stations to request his music. Let radio know that we will NEVER forget this great man.

    10-02-1948----03-09-2005

    R.I.P. Chris

  • great song by both!! not much of a fan of country music but Chris Ledoux was great, what a great talent he was..long live his songs..r.i.p. chris

  • this song should be on tv every day...but more than 90 percent even didn't hear this masterpiece

  • Great song and I like it very much.

I think it was a work for Blaze of Glory!

Have this album and it is really cool.

  • i remember when this song (version) came out , i loved it then n love it now!

  • I did not see this song on the young gunsII soundtrack. Tons of other good songs, but not this one. THis as an awesome song by two fantastic vocalists. Although, Jon isnt near as good an artist, IMHO, as Chris, still it was awesome to hear them together

  • What year was this? The original song was in 1990 but this looks like it happened not son long ago. I mean considering Jon's hair is cut short, which I don't like. I miss his long hair.

  • chrisis he best even if he´s dead he the king!

  • Great song! Can't believe he's gone. RIP Chris.

  • Long Live Chris LeDoux! He impacted my life through his one of a kind music.

  • "Bang a Drum for the Heroes, That won't come back" I am banging that Drum for you Chris!

  • I remember sitting in my pick-up in the mid 90's listening to this song by Bon Jovi thinking it would be great if he and Chris did a Duet together and a few years later we got it. This is a good one.

  • I will also bang a drum for you Chris. We miss you, it gonna be hard, you left us to soon, well We will see you over that ridge I hope they have a horse for us there.

    Kase.

  • You will be always banging that drum Chris----we miss you.

  • Bikes and horses, both=true Freedom! Rockers and country both have the beat and the message-we are all brothers...

  • i remember my teacher in this song...ma'am carantes where are you now!? T_T!

  • first time ive heard that song with them together...

  • chris deserves that drum,so bang it loudly!!!

  • Jon and Chris are legends!!!

  • I so agree with you!

    You are right!!!

  • What a GREAT song...I love the cowboy-city blend here....Ledoux and Bon Jovi are both AMAZING artists!!!!....Wish we still had Ledoux to perform more songs though.......this song gives me reason to believe!

  • @geektaicho believe what? why dont you believe yourself to believe what you want to believe. there is nothing to make me believe anything. only thing make me believe something is my brain. sorry my bad english. by the time I love this song. I love bon jovi.

  • i dont like songs with a religion background...but this one is great!!!

  • When did they record this? I have never heard this version before but I like it. That whole young guns sound track is pretty good stuff.

  • Very good. Icon of country music: Ledoux

  • FANTASTIC DUET

  • bang a drum for chris bang it loudly

  • chris ledoux is by far the best country singer we will ever know, george straight falls short by a little but my hat is off to chris

  • we'll all bang a drum for you chris

  • Must ask; who is Chris LeDoux? and when was that recording? tank you! :)

  • Chris Ledoux is a old rodeo cowboy that is a 7 time bare back champ that song old rodeo songs that were known to the rodeo crowed. In the 90's garth brooks had a song that talked about Chris and his anf brought his music to a diffrent crowed of people he has been singing since the late 60's 95'/, of his songs are about the rodeo life that he lived. this song was recorded back in the late 90's. Chris passed away about 3 years ago. Great Music good shows and a hell of a horse rider

  • chris still did concerts in until like 2000 or something like that. that was the best concert i ever went to i will never forget about it. RIP Chris

  • I mean no disrespect, but Chris was not a 7 time champ. Fact is he won 1976 World Champion Bareback. No more no less.

  • when he passed it was a great loss to the Country community he truly was a great singer

  • bang a drum for Chris

  • This is a great song. I sure miss listening to Chris.

  • This is a great duet; for more of JBJ singing w/country greats, look for him w/Sugarland.

  • its not often to see bon jovi singing with a country singer but this is real cool rip chris

  • RIP Chris......one of a kind....true cowboy in every sense of the word and a american hero....Go with God Chris for you are now a ghost rider in the sky

  • "Sing it with your heart and Soul, and believe it, and I'll say 'amen'". This should be one of Jon Bon Jovi's greatest songs. Excellent rendition by Chris LeDoux.

  • I am totally digging how the music boundries have just dropped away... God Bless Chris... a true blue, real deal Coountry Boy...

  • To me, Chris will always be in a league the other country singers can't compete with. God bless you and rest in peace Chris.

  • From when is this version? Thanks for sharing!

  • One of the greatest songs ever, "i'd kick this bad world's ass if i could just get on my feet!" Brilliant stuff. Thanks for posting!!

  • bang it loudly

    "laughing out loud" ;D

  • Damn, that old man could sing...

He was my first musical addiction... well, him and Alanis came about the same time, but I loved him.

I cried when I found out he was gone.

This is a good match up

  • We all miss you Chris******Jon you can still kick

this bad worlds a**, rock on, susie/wv

  • I didn't think anyone outside of wyoming knew who Chris Ledoux was

  • west virginia's not exactly what it's made to

be---I have all of my teeth ha

lol! sometimes I'm not sure anyone knows

where WEST VIRGINIA is. ha! ha!

    Chris was great****susie

  • I live in... CALI and I know who Chris is, can't really say you like country if you don't know chris.

  • He Is One Of The Greatest Cowboys Ever!

    Rest In Peace Chris Ledoux!

    You Will Be Greatly Missed!

  • cool and valid meet, anywere the original song is more emotion its mor hard rock

  • Chris is my hero one of the coolest guys I've ever had the honor to meet. Wyoming misses him.....there will never be anyone quite like him.

  • anyway, the roiginal version of this song (on the young guns II soundtrack) is amazing

  • this is kinda like the stuff bon jovi is making now, with the country twist to it and the same hair cut :P

really good though ! ..thanks for posting :-)

  • ...so was this the first video Jon was in without the big hair ?! :O

  • I think it might be

  • No, it's not! And who really cares anyway. Jon's hair has nothing to do with the fact that he makes great music!

  • Chris Le Doux is dead, have some respect, if Jon was honored to sing with him, you should count it an honor to listen to it,

  • So it's not all heavy or hair metal and stuff, big deal it's still good music

  • They made a classic hit sound like a mainstream gospel song.. can't get no gayer than that..

  • eh, You sound cold, nothing wrong with gospel songs

  • Nothing at all, but why do this with a perfectly good song?

  • Because it's good music, isn't that a good reason?

  • nothing wrong w/the original or this 1 in my opinion

  • Jon and Ritchie wrote several songs,I imagine they'll write more, this remake was sort of a tribute from Chris, Jon joined him on it out of appreciation

  • haha! my friend paul is in this music video! hes the one closing the boot of the car and sweating haha, how cool!

  • if this version was in 1998, where can i get it???

  • you can find it on the Best of LeDoux

  • When did Bon Jovi make this??

  • Jon realised this on his first solo record "Blaze of Glory" in 1990. This version was realised in 1998 (if I am not mistaken)

  • i love this song it woz when i woz like 5 i herd it and iv always like it i thank my mum for it and my dad to coz of them i no lots of old songs but i think some of the old 1s r the best i think and im 15 and some of my m8 think i odd lol coz i like old songs but thay got no tast in music u got to live the old b for u get the new stuff but eney day if i had to chos a song it wood b this 1
