It is on ps3 and xbox, and you can free roam by completing a mission on a map and pressing square. Free roam is quite boring but still fun to do, but try missions, I'm more of a open-world free roam fan and I prefere missions in this.

when u r over the place u want on the map press square to free roam and select ur character

the missions arnt to big and there are only bronze, silver, gold, and platinum trophies and this cost $60 at wal-mart.

this game is friking awsome i bought a ps3 just too play this game and it waz worth it ! this game is really fun and the controlls are soo easy. if u want the dlc quick buy it 4 360 if u want great graphics and sound buy it 4 ps3 if u want it 4 great online get it 4 360 and finnaly if u want it 4 just pure awsomeness buy it for ps3
