@hmooblee19 you realize that Kuroke-Kaze is a composite of Final Fantasy characters? Vincent was the base archetype and model for him, but then they added in some other characters to make him "seem" original. I can't recall the names of every character, but he's got some bits from 2 and 8 in him.

@Faulty264 No, Final Fantasy: Spirits Within was horrible, but only because they attached the Final Fantasy name to it...if they had dropped the lisence, it would have been a much better movie, since there were no summons or recognizable traits (Moogles, Chocobos, Character Classes, etc.). This anime makes good use of the summons and the Summoner class, although it could have been tighter in the plot department. I will give them slack on that, though, since this is the first time they tried it.

Ahh...I miss this anime...

The Japanese voice-actor for Kaze had a beautiful voice - the English one was so fucking retarded...they made him sound like a smoker with throat cancer. :-/ In fact, the whole English voice-over was stupid. They changed names, made people sound dumb...it was torture. :-(

yea dammit......was so disappointed the way they made such a rushed ending... i wanted to see more of kazeeeeee and the white and red dragon...if only more people had seen it when it was aired in japan...a well...and it was so funny at times. the episode where sid turns into a frog was hularious ^^ and it also had depth, like with the guys that build and unbuild stuff all the time...such a waste........ :(

@xhellenlovex It was a Saturday Morning action cartoon. The stories had to be episodic and fell into the same writing issues as Sentai shows. That doesn't mean the writing is bad, just that you have to take it for what it is. Final Fantasy is more than just the games, which is why people like you made Square Pictures go under cause the awesome Spirits Within movie wasn't enough like the games. FEH.

I havent seen all summons in the show yet, but of what I have seen so far, if a Summon seems to 'not work' imediatly after activation, they usually have the most painful, unescapable and downright nightmare fuel type of attacks? Typhoon is a good example of that.
