I don't think the emotions of everyday people to Tim Russert's death were fake. Even if you did not like him you must agree that he was always prepared with his facts and you always learned something from Meet The Press,
his death was a shock and based on the out pouring from politicians and us common folk, he will be truely missed.
he went after everyone fairly. he didn't choose sides. however, if you went on meet the press, you had better be prepared. if you tried to lie, he was going to get you.
david gregory seems to be too biased to the right. if i am watching a news show i want the news, not the newsreader's opinion. if i am watching a pundit show, that is different. i don't watch fox, i tend to watch cnn and msnbc, i figure b/n the two of them, i'll get the news. i do watch olbermann and rachel maddow. but when i watch them, i know i'm not watching the news, and therefore expect to get there opinion.
I don't like Keith Olberman, but I believe he was sincere in his emotions of the day. Some r affceted differently by death, shock & trauma. I do not agree w/ his politics but then, he is NOT a newsman. He is a commentator of the news... he expresses HIS OPINIONS like O'Reily, Limbaugh, Hanity and Colmes. He dosen't stand a chance in Hell of getting the MTP job & he knowes it. U at least have 2 APPEAR INBIASED & that wasn't easy even for Russert. Olberman, MTP... not a chance. RIP Tim R.

It was beyond disgusting that he went over every Democrat's statements but decided to ignore Bush and McCain's statements as if they meant nothing. The man is dead and you took your partisanship to a whole new low! I hope this scumbag rots in hell!
Bush's comments, as well as Lieberman's, were aired between 8-10 Friday night, and Olbermann complimented Lieberman's remarks. Obviously, he can let go of his dislikes for a few minutes, while you, poor baby, can't.

anybody who cannot see that keith olbermann is a phony fuck,, is a liar or a fool. posters on his blog (dailykos in which he contributes and has a diary there),,were,, minutes after russert dropped dead, lobbing for this fuck to be m.t.p. moderator. olbermann kept his feined, pained contorted face and trembling lip, long after the other commentators bucked up and reported the event straight faced. what a transparent douche this man is.

As misty-eyed as I've been the whole day and as much as I admire Keith Olbermann's eloquence about his former colleague, I must vent here.
Olbermann read 5 "eulogies" from political figures that paid homage to Russert. All five were high-profile Democratic politicians.
Omitted glaringly was President Bush's remembrance of Russert, which was no less heartfelt than any of the others. Disgusting. If he can't let go of his petty politics at a time such as this, his character is unsalvageable.

How true, I hope David Gregory will be just as good and as well prepared for the show now that he is taking the position.

I can't stand Olbermann, but in this situation, come on. Keith's emotions aren't phony here.
Dream23fb 3 years ago 4
then why did he stay crybaby all night when everyone else stiffened up and remembered the man without the theactrics? its so obviously put on to me!
saltwaterebel 3 years ago
Perhaps, but I'll give Olbermann the benefit of the doubt. And trust me, I am far from an Olbermann fan. I can't stand the guy.

agreed ray. brokaw was tough those he interviewed yet displayed objectivity unlike so many of his colleagues, olberman in particular.

Having Overbite eulogize Russert is like framing a Van Gogh with a toilet seat.
