  • Take off the number on the front of the train and the side plates at the front and its the flying scotsman!

  • Isn't Tornado sitting in the Railway museum in York?

  • doubt it, not an NRM engine and secondly she is running up and down the country on the mainline most weekends.

  • @pennysteam I think it is based at NRM York and can be seen there in the sidings sometimes. Although this isn't very often as you say it is on charter most weekends.

  • Fantastic, 60163 Tornado looks like a nice engine, Hopefully she will visit Preserved Railways such as the Bluebell Railway.

  • Hi Penny: How about adding captions so we know the names of the stations. One of them looks like it might be Lincoln. This may entice me to make another trip to Lincoln from Portland Oregon to ride this train. We have a famous steam engine here SP 4440 (oil burner)which occasionally pulls special trains. Back in the forties it pulled 'The Daylight' from Portland to Oakland CA. At the time it was the fastest psgr train on the west coast. Leebm29 at yahoo dot c

  • 4449. She will be on display at Portland Union Station on May 9 2009 and later in July, pull a special excursion to Owosso MI!!!

  • Excellent vid. 5* m8. Can't wait to see the documentary on this. It will be a tribute and testament to all those who built her. Is that her final colour scheme?

  • No, her final colour scheme will be LNER apple green. The grey is just the undercoat.

  • Thanks. Being as that was what they used to do with the steam engines in the past (and do with ships) that was what I thought.

  • Now people don't have to look at old photographs of Peppercoen A!s.

  • Nice one KF - Railway History in the making !
