  • Please some one advice me: I am having two electronic ballast tubelights that are controlled by one switch. Now, one of them is always getting short circuit. I have replaced 4 of these within one year, none of them lasting more than a month - cause I dont even go to that room regularly. What is the problem? Everything works well for 10-15 days and then it gets short. The wiring is perfect... Is it because of the 2-way system? I'd love to have some help from any of you experts..Thank you !

  • Thank you very much sir, you explain the things very easily. It is really easy to understand your lecture.

  • thnx a lot 4 posting dis video.

  • Thankyou very much

  • great information but I hate to be one of "those guys" but I do have to say that he needs to practice speaking fluently as in better rhythm without seeming like he is reading off of something. But thanks for the information. I want to understand how electrical components work. I'm very interested. I am interested in Electronics, and the medical field and politics and i am trying to figure out where i want my education to take me. so this is great, make more!

  • Electricity should be recalculated and re-written because it is all wrong.

  • @heartlessvietboy

    how so...?

  • First, there is no such thing as a kw H. The Hour is Fake. Second, you can not calculate electrical energy by using distance. Third, how we are measuring energy or the flow of electricity needs to be broken down some more so that we can utilize electrons to most efficient as possible. Fourth the international system of units isn't international at all!! The SI unit is all wrong, and some people use different terms. Fifth, how do they derive all those things? THE LAB!!!!

  • @heartlessvietboy

oh ok.. well i haven't learnt very much about electromagnetism so i guess when the changes are made i won't have to adapt much. Or are they not going to change it in the near future ?

  • im from malta and next july im going to sit for the elctrical licence examinations these lectures are so useful for me!! thanks so much for sharing i appretiate i owe you lots of respect ..

  • cool !! thanks!!

  • I cant thank you enough

why arent any American UNiversities doing this ???

Oh yea that's right their goal is not to educate people but rather to make money !!

Thanks India - you are more noble than all the US universities !!

  • @yukonheart of course you are right , they only encourage sex and porn sites.

  • @yukonheart so it is not ok to make money from ones endevours?

why are you going to university then? not to make money huh?

  • @findvoltage

Its ok to make money its not ok to gouge people the cost of education has soared way beyond everything else - whereas all these universities preach about helping peopel yet their own actions indicate they are more concerned about money

  • @yukonheart its not preaching its pitching, "a sales gimmick", u fell for it thats all most people do. never mind, move on.

  • @yukonheart MIT does this... idiot

  • @piemonte21

I DID SEE ONE LECTURE FROM mit PERHAPS I MISSED SOME - YOUR RESPONSE IS INDICATIVE OF A A DANGEROUS DISEASE - DIARRHEA OF THE MOUTH AND CONSTIPATION OF THE MIND

  • @yukonheart watch.mit.edu

  • @yukonheart - Yes, some are...Go to MIT (Massachussets Institute of Technology) or Cal Tech and others like them...

  • @121ego

  • This type of info is worth hundreds of dollars or gold coins or whatever u use as currency AT LEAST. Youtube and people like this who post content make us free to expand our minds. Dont hate

  • I agree, damn those westerners and lack of culture, kill em all I say.

  • @REDjester

That's so ignorant, grow up - kill em? 2010 bro wut

  • Hey Moron, he said 40 hours coz the lectures was divided into different parts idiot!

  • he said 40 hours...he ment 40 minutes... ^^

  • Good lecture I will be following more.

    Thanks for uploading.

  • I have a learning channel too. Can someone please tell me how to break the 10 minute barrier so that I can start on my formula series?

  • pLEASE DO NOT REMOVE THIS VIDEO FOREEVER

  • Ugh, that is boring. This guys spends 45 minutes saying essentially nothing whatsoever. He even admits at the beginning, "these first 2 lectures have no actual content, and serve only to 'introduce' the remainder of the series". That should have taken him 5 minutes, not 45. I've seen YouTube videos lasting 45 SECONDS with more actual content than this guy puts forth in 45 MINUTES. Grade: F. (Contentless, boring unto death.)

  • is he mute?

  • he said 40 hours when the video is 40 mis long lol

  • maybe he means all the lectures together?

  • yeah thats probably what he means

  • wha

  • that was good

  • thank you very much.

    Regards from spain.

  • very good easy to understand ,i dont find a problem with the sound ,now the next one has a problem with sound and understanding his accent.

  • this is very good and i will really appreciat this kind of activities

  • Helo - am conducting a research study on how youtube's contribution to education. It would be great if you could participate in a very short survey (will take less than 2 min). You can find the link to the survey from my youtube profile page. Thank you very much.

  • Great lecture. I enjoy listening to all the videos by NPTEL. Very organized and succinct. Thank you.

  • thank you for sharing these lectures on youtube. :)

  • I agree. It is a blessing to have this course online for free. Accent or not, this guy is sharing knowledge and I appreciate it.

  • from which book he is teaching??

    please tell me...

  • yes his audio is recorded at a very low volume. I have my speakers all the way up and can barely hear him.

dgcet-our audio volume being low information has nothing to do with your issues in your comment. Nobody is saying anything about what you are talking about.

  • I am now reviewing for my Instrumentation and Control exam here in the Philippines and I am just discovering these lectures...WOW ! this is a VERY BIG HELP that allows me to fully understand my career and truly appreciate the power of knowledge...

THANK VERY MUCH and more power

  • NPTEL is a true blessing to the world. Especially to students like me. Thank you for your unlimited efforts and thanks to all the Professors who really try to break it down very clearly.

  • Thank You for the lectures on Youtube :)

  • He talks at a normal rate in his other lectures, there are still some technical problems with the audio

  • yep i had to adjust my sound at full volume in my soundsettings and that fixed it.

  • Sir, thank you for your kind video, but my kind request to you please - speak loud - all others ok. Sir, I will personally very much obliged to you, in next all other video kindly speak loudely. Thanks and kind regards.

  • These are already recorded videos, I don't think this guy himself has anything to do with uploading them.. but the institution does.. I enjoy everyone of them...

  • Very useful lecture

  • His excruciatingly slow speech is only for the first few minutes - he talks at a normal rate from about 5 minutes into video & continues normally for rest of 40 hour series.

  • There is a slight language barrier, but if you have half a brain you can easily understand the lecture. Also you should be somewhat familiar with electricity before you start trying to learn about transformer technology. If you need a really great lecture, I heard Optimus Prime can provide a great lecture.

  • The guy doesn't speak English that well, give him a break. Can you imagine giving a lecture 100,000 Indian people when you do not know the language? Of course you're going to be a slow speaker. At least he's trying.

  • Hello, He is an Indian and there is nothing wrong in speaking with an accent. This program is primarily targeted at Indian students, who won't mind the accent. And unlike westerners, Indians have a culture of respecting their teachers. Grow up, and throw your chauvinism out when you come to learn something.

  • I was vouching for the guy. Prick.

  • @dgcet loved d comment :)

  • people ho are like that with comments have a small brain and no respect

sadly you will find this in the whole world today they sould be glad that they can learn somthing and for free

  • @dgcet yes there is nothing wrong with having an accent and India takes its education very seriously. They have a legacy of teaching that goes back thousands of years.

  • @dgcet ikr, I mean goodness wats the stinking problem, he's Indian...BIG DEAL

  • couldn't you speak out louder?

  • i didnt learn jack shit

  • thank you very much to a wonderful lecture you share to us specially to all electrical students.. but i notice that maybe you forgot to discuss about electrical power system to make it complete.. congratulation for the job well done.. hope next time you can give more example in problem solving.. tnx again
