But the real Queen soundly beat her false counterpart in the church fight scene earlier on. And I don't think Carlotta did steal Tessa's horse anyway. Cos' Tessa was able to getaway on her horse after Grisham shot the fake queen.

this is what i found out about why the show got taken off the air. it pisses me off too cuz i loved this show (Zorro Productions, Inc. took legal action against Queen of Swords' producers, because they were infringing upon their Zorro character by producing a show 100% similar to Zorro - only with a woman in the lead role. It is widely speculated that this is the reason for the show's cancellation. Zorro Productions are currently developing a Zorro series of their own.)

i mean i can understand why the zorro peeps got pissed, cuz even i said this show was like zorro but then again zorro is very much like other heros. like robinhood, u know. and jack of all trades was based off zorro. but now that i think of it that show got taken off the air too hmm. anyways they shouldnt got too pissed cuz lot of shows copy bits and pieces from others u know. like that's the same thing that happened to mutant x. the x-men peeps got pissed and had it taken off the air

@Y2CJ3600 Thanks for sharing the news about the legal action for copyright infringement. I can be a judge on that matter, because I've seen plenty of Zorro films, and clones, with and without reference to the Zorro «original» character, and I've followed the (troubled) career of Tessa as Queen of Spades on television. I declare she is not guilty: her stories are fresh, Marta (a lovely sexy mature servant) is worth half of the series. I suggest you do as I did: buy the DVD.

@thebuckrogers22 I bought mine through a second hand store, priceminister com, They currently have 4 sets for sale, SOUS LE SIGNE DE L'EPEE, integral release of 22x45min episodes, in French or English, PAL colour, Region 9 (except one that is Region 5, meaning lower quality but otherwise OK). I saw now that there is another source available also, Region 9 (so-called region free), but probably NTSC colour, coopersjd com with more discs, same episodes and no extras either.

@thebuckrogers22 That was a shame. The series in wonderful, and if you like sword and romance stories, this is one great series to view with your girlfriend or boyfriend(s)! They will like it as much as you do, and you may both end play fighting with kitchen spoons all over the living room. Sous le signe de l'épée is the title of the DVD in France, different from the TV title, "Tessa, à la pointe de l'épée". There are DVD sets from Japan (20 episodes only), France (PAL), and the USA (NTSC).

@agraf74 lol i dont remember much romance in the show. there was a lot of cheating, and i know the doc and the queen had a love thing go on and all. but the action and story telling was cool. plus the tessa woman is HOT and i love her outfit. yeah i just read online the dvd came out everywhere but the usa. which sucks. the only usa copies r bootleg and i'm not a fan of bootleg stuff. what if it's pixlated and such.

Well, nothing special happened because the show was to have a 2nd season which was eventually cancelled. So, everyone goes on living just about the same: the Queen's identity's still a secret, Montoya's still plotting on how to get absolute power, Grisham and Vera are still in love and hiding it... same as always! :)
