Gillian is an awesome performer. I'm an American who is studying Hong Kong culture in preparation to live there next year. I find Hong Kong performers to have more talent, dignity, morals, and respect in their pinky than most American performers have in their whole bodies. Gillian didn't ask to be exposed by that creep Edison. She made a mistake and is human and should be treated like one. At least she's embarrassed by the scandal and not proud of it like Paris Hilton.

@Celestina321 Because it's written by the same people, it's all cheezy ballads or cutsey pop tunes. Well, if you like it that's fine...but I like real music that has dynamics, groove and not one dimentional pop tunes.

not to mention, you don't hear two or three part hamonies in cantopop. It's usually unison, and singing in unison is different from harmonies. Have you heard of the Everly brothers? They sing that song that everyone in HK like..."All I Have To Do Is Dream"...that's harmony. And when there is rock music...it's all soft rock..there has never been a solid Band or pop group or pop singer that actually made it internationally...well, pop music suck in general these days anyway.

@chase14 I do agree with you. To my disappointment, there are so many cantopop tunes these days that I find copycating or using tunes from Japanese and Korean songs. Speaking of true music, I recently discovered Metro Vocal Group and I think they are awesome.
