Wow, very brutal and very cool! Different to their other albums but not in a bad way. This is hardcore at its' most brutal. I've just got one question though, is John Hengry on vocals here? It's totally different from normal Darkest Hour vocals but then agian this is them at the very begining. If anyone knows if this really is John Hengry or if it's a different singer, please let me know.
@87kungfu321 Yes it is John Henry. But you probably know that by now. As you can tell, his voice has matured very much over the years, as have his general vocal abilities
@nightwhatchman Thank you for your reply. It is pretty amazing how much his vocal abilities have devoloped, I honestly didn't know that was John Hengry because he sounds so different. He still sounds pretty cool on this early stuff but I must admit I'm glad he was able to mature his vocal abilities because, listening to the current Darkest Hour songs, he just sounds amazing now. But any ways, thank you for your reply.
@87kungfu321 All darkest hour is great stuff for sure, but this is the real, raw shit. They're from where I grew up; this is what I think of when i think of darkest hour. Also the shows in Richmond, VA in the early 00s were the shit, especially with pg.99. They certainly haven't lost their touched, and matured quite a bit, but you'd know what I was talking about if you'd been at those shows before they totally blew up.
@zhuangtzu yeah I recently bought some of their really early albums featuring songs like this one and I agree it is the real, raw shit! I'm from the UK and unfortunetly they aren't as well-known, its a great shame considering how much talent these guys have. I'm hoping it wont be long until they realise another album; I loved the last one cos they sorta went back to their more hardcore sound!
I downloaded every album and iv been listing to there new shit for a year and I heard this I was like Holy Shit

@girlpartz, Archives is really good. It's a compilation of their early material of the Misanthrope EP and the Prophecy Fulfilled EP.

@zhuangtzu Don't get me wrong though, I think it's great how far they've come and how much they've progressed.
