Yes, there are lots of Isms that are just ways for people not to think for themselves, BUT a lot of them are just ways for you to identify yourself with others who share your beliefs. I think for myself, but I'm agree with objectISM, which preaches thinking for yourself. Technically atheism, agnosticism, and anarchism are not isms.

The a prefixes on them are negative modifiers. So atheism just means not theism, agnosticism means not gnosticism, and anarchism means not archism (although archism isn't a word last I checked but if it was it would mean supporting a government) so these words really describe a lack of specific isms and are not isms themselves.

You SO used GarageBand to modulate your voice to the "correct" note. Whenever you use the voice algorithims on GarageBand to give your voice the approximately desired note, it technoizes the sound, giving a vocoded feel to your voice. When I "correct" my own voice I get the identical effect, and I hope you'll recognize an Italian band by the name of Eiffel 65 (remember "Blue: Da Ba Dee"?) whose defining characteristic is their modulated vocals.
