  • 26k views...congrats! it is a great video, by far my favorite on YT.

  • I got a 1965 constellation 30 ft. with those twin Chevrolet 283s it cuts though the water like a dream. nothing rides as good as a mahogany boat.

    beautiful video and boat.

  • Wood ruies my dad had 68 28 footer cavalier one of the best riding boats ever fiberglass just misses in ride quilaty , when toy say C-C you said it all

  • Epic video Jeff! I so enjoy my 1964 C-C Challenger w/ flybridge ( one of 50 built) here in Marin.

My friend Alan has a 37' Connie like yours. You may have seen his boat during this time in Tahoe. Cheers! Ross

  • @sailericson thanks for the props. Of course we know Alan and his boat. Many conversations about the two boats with him!!

  • @jeffbarraclough Alan is on the way to Tahoe with his wine. Have to say the 2008 Cabernet Sauvignon is quite Epic!

  • I'm sorry but it's a sin to cover up the awsome classic sound of a Chris Craft engine running. The choice of music was good but after 1 minute I couldn't watch any more especially looking aft from the boat while it was going down the lake. It would have been great to hear the engine purring!!!! Just close your eyes and you are there!!

  • It's an amazing boat

My dad have a Chris Craft Constellation but with a Perkins V8 (380hp) and I think that the superior "bridge" is pretty diferent,is in black wood slats

    Thanks for your vid

  • absolute cool

  • Nice!!

  • To bad the music destroyed the sound of the boat

  • Awesome!!!

  • This motor yacht, I have a RC model

  • Stunning vessel, Jeff. My family had a 1962 36' Cavalier which we bought in '67 and sadly sold it in '97. Nobody builds them like C-C!

  • It's very nice , my dad have the same boat with a 400Hp perkins but the supérior bridge is in wood , he black i'm not sure that is exactly the same but yours is very very nice !

  • Thanks Jeff, I needed a little dose of The Lake. Hope all is well up there. Jen

  • Beautiful looking Chris! Grew up with my parents owning and completely restoring a 1964 34' Connie. And later put a flybridge on.

    Great running shots!!!

  • that little boats got some legs

  • Thanks for the heads up on the music Bearclaw.

I've now downloaded a heap of BSS from itunes.

They're great and I can now play it on my boat here in Queensland! Cheers, mate!

  • Bear Claw keep a look out!!I sold my 1972 Chris 23 Lancer last year. It was in a boat house and in our family on Lake Erie since new . It went to Tahoe last year white on white. Georgeous

  • I have a Lancer 23 as well; gotta love it. See at newvisionsco channel. Rides like a dream. Do you have video?

Bear Claw is Awesome! Thanks for sharing.

  • My favorite video on this site! Am in the process of purchasing a '66 30' Constellation. Wish I had room in the slip for a 37'! Richard Avery's design is extremely well suited to the 37. Long, low lines. Graceful curves. Beautiful detail! Lake Tahoe makes for a perfect backdrop. I would love to know the name of the accompanying instrumental, and the artists playing.

  • "Pacific Theme" by Broken Social Scene

  • Can you tell me the music track used in the film? It really sets the tone well......

  • "Pacific Theme" by Broken Social Scene

  • Thanks for the heads up on the music. I have downloaded a heap of BSS and can now listen to them on my boat here in Queensland! Cheers, mate!

  • This really epitomises to me what a great day out on the water can be. A graceful craft, a beautiful day on a wonderful lake....all set to period music that sets the tone. Wish I had've been there for it!

  • What a beautiful craft, stunningly shot in an amazing location.

Thank you for such a great video and a fantastic subject.

  • This is the best CCC vid on the net.The music was great it is light an breezey just like ole Chris Craft motor yachting lifestyle.Just bought an 1967 40'connie w twin 427 but don't have her home yet watch for some post'ns on the journey home. Till then feed my jones with some more of that BEAUTIFUL boat & crystal clear blue water.Again Geat job on the vid edit!

  • She looks great! I have a 63 37' Connie in Glen Cove/Vallejo, CA. Repowered in 1990 with Chevy 350s. Great boats!!

  • I had a 63 connie. I loved that boat and this video is just like heaven to me. Thank you! Were these 431s in this boat. If they were, can you make a video clip of it just idling a the dock. There is NO sound like that.

  • Nope, 350's but they all had that Chris Craft wet muffler system that made them all sound very similar no matter what was in there.

  • Thanks! You should be proud to have such a timeless classic in such great condition.

  • @jeffbarraclough You can hear the pressure relief valves letting go at the start of the video. What a beauty !

  • Nice work Gerk...now get that thing going again...you brought back some great memories! Who's sweet boathouse is that at the 2:48 mark??

  • Very Nice Chris!
