  • dat sad r.i.p.

  • Okay at :16 his car "careered" or careened? Get it right news guy.

  • @PawlieGR AT 18 Get it right

  • o_o :) (: ): ): -_- <3 RIP

  • 5 HOUR ENERY FOLKS THATS ALL U NEED...

  • One less

  • @MrLintRoller One less son of mine, One less brother to my other children. so MrLintRoller what are you determining as ONE LESS? wanker

  • @mumandtwins Oh shut up! I have seen all your videos! You claim all theses people are yours which there not so stop taking everyone on a guilt trip!

  • @MrLintRoller listen here ARSEHOLE my nephew AND my son, I do something constructive as a result of these 2 crashes I hope to god your family doesn't have to endure the loss of someone like this. I feel I have added more than enough PROOF up here.

  • @MrLintRoller Are you sure you have seen all of the videos! I think maybe you should look at some of them again!

  • @mumandtwins I agree, this guy is a WANKER!

  • @MrLintRoller The person and family that you are referring to as "one less" just happen to be dear friends to me and this crash was an accident that should never have happened! He was not being reckless or stupid or breaking the speed limit. Maybe you need to think about what you are going to write for a minute before you actually put those fingers on the keyboard and save causing more upset to the family and friends involved.

  • you say son it is a female

  • @jacobl36 I think I would know if my son was a MALE in this crash my son ( MALE) was driving and it was MY SON that DIED, his PASSENGER was FEMALE pfft I believe if you are going to comment at least either LISTEN to the news footage OR read the description

  • @jacobl36 stupid cunt

  • @jacobl36 Maybe you need to watch this video again as at no point does it refer to the driver of the vehicle as being a female! The passenger was a female and the driver a male! And I am sure that the mother would know the sex of her son!

  • I'm sorry for for the loss of ur son

  • Nobody else saw the white shoe at 1:13?

  • @midnightnavyz28 I did when I had to travel to Port Augusta to formally ID his body at the mortuary. Then when to see the damage to the car. and there it was. I managed to retrieve some of his belongings from the boot of the car, like the red sleeping bag that is seen on the back of the car at the site. and his pillow and fishing rod etc. it is a very sobering sight to see what was a pretty big car compacted as much as it was.

  • @midnightnavyz28 saw it

  • @geoquin4 the skid marks show that Dion hit the brakes prior to hitting the bus, fatigue was a contributing factor in the crash. I have not doubt about that, he swerved to the left shoulder hit the gravel that was there along with hitting a white post I have no doubt the noise from hitting the gravel shoulder "woke" him his girlfriend also recalls the sound of the gravel. speed was NOT a factor at all. I have the reports here that state that fact

  • He is in heaven.

  • So sorry for how much pain u would have gone thru =( pepole have to be aware of this stuff its soo easy to cause accidents.

  • some of the comments i'v read are uncalled for. show alittle respect, the video is for us all to learn from and the lession here is not to drive while tired. this mother put in alot of time making it. if you have nothing nice to say, keep your mouth shut call it a day and move on........so for your loss and thankyou for the video, i've drove more than one time tired myself, i wont be doing it again.

  • I'm so sorry for ur son

  • Good to hear,Keep UR Head Up,1 day @ time,is there a Support Group in ur area for parents that lost a child,it might help or U could start a Blog maybe ,as a mom I can't Imagine Your Pain,l am Sorry,I have lost many friends, family over the years & my son's father so I know pain but a mom's loss is a different matter.

  • @tashaLuv1 no support group, however I have all the support I need, my sister also lost her teenage son 11 years ago she is only a phone call away if I have any questions or just a chat

  • I'm Sorry to the Mother, how is the girl doing?

  • @tashaLuv1 the girl survived found herself another boyfriend and now has a baby she will be ok

  • Thanks for the reply, and the wise words contained. It's quite rare we ever hear any more from the incidents we attend, especially from the familes concerened.

  • @carl2017 not many parents like me are prepared to air the story of their childs death, many parents I have come in contact with over the last 3 1/2 years are still having such a hard time of the fact that they have lost their child. As much as it hurts to know Dion wont be barging through my front door with Bleed it out by Linkin Park on his phone, I stay focused on educating others about some of the silly mistakes that cost lives. Driver Fatigue is responsible for so many road crashes

  • its depends on the ppl i live where theres alot of curves(island) several times i had drived when i havent sleeped for about 24 or more hours and still didnt get sleepy then i went to america on one night i could only sleep 4 hours and i couldnt stay in my lane i had to change to the passanger and let my uncle drive cause i was to sleep. so what im saying is that the roads are the main problem if driving straigth u get sleepy cause of no constant movements. srry for youre lost.

  • the second tv reporter said ''unfortunately 10 people esaped injury'' why did you want them to get injured

  • speeding .theres no way a car could get that fuck up going 40 or 50 to even 60

  • @MegaAlex413 Speed was NOT a factor he was travelling at approx 90 kilometres an hour, PLUS hit a stateliner coach, see how well a car with bugger all modern safety features fairs

  • @MegaAlex413 And what do you know about accidents? A car can and does get that damaged at those speeds. Bear in mind the Fire Service would have altered the car to a large degree as well. I've spent 17 years working at accident scenes and this is kind of accident is all to common. My sympathy to the familly at what was a devastating time of their life.

  • @carl2017 as a result of the crash both occupants my son and his gf were trapped it necessitated the removal of the roof which had been contorted removal of the roof does make the car look worse to a laymans eyes still regardless crashes are horrific for all those involved not only for those directly involved but also for the emergency personel who see this scene all too often

  • I feel so sorry for your loss. I just wish that people just stop speeding because all they are going to do is kill themselfs.

  • @Kleetus3152 he wasn't speeding he was just tired

  • hi there, im a paramedic/nurse and I'm so sorry to haer for your loss.. Its terrible when any teenager / or any person passes in a car accident, I see them all the time in the E.R. im so sorry for your loss and all rude opionons should just stay to thereselves, you dont say something so rude to someone about that.. Im again sorry for your loss and your in my prayers!

  • Im sorry for your lose, may he rest in peace and may your family find comfort somewhere in this horrible lose

  • oh how said

  • GOD BLESS YOU.........

  • @geoquin4 don't know why i bothered to approve this comment, however you are entitled to your opinion, i have all the reports here, he was NOT SPEEDING and your comment about lack of parenting is a bit below the belt,

  • Comment removed

  • @geoquin4 why should i take personal responsibility for this happening? 1 he was legally an adult 2 he had moved into his own accomodation 3 the car did not belong to me, 4 the car belonged to his father aka my ex husband 5 the speed limit is 110kph he was actually travelling at 100kph and 6 I was not even told he had gone out of town that day although his father knew. now nasty ill informed person begone with you

  • @mumandtwins dont listen to people rubbish comments

  • @mumandtwins I don't believe this prat! I liked the way he had to get the bit in about being an engineer and physics expert. He's an expert alright! An expert at being an insensitive, know-all. I'm just guessing here, but I bet he has no idea what it's like to be a parent either. He sounds like one of those who just like to pass judgement on other peoples parenting skills despite having no parental experience of his own whatsoever! Take care and may your son rest in peace

  • @mumandtwins I am truly sorry for the loss of your beloved child and I'm also sorry there are such insensative people in this world (Geoquin) who would respond to your posting the way he did. To think the loss of your child has become an "agenda" is sickening to me. DOn't listen to idiots like geoquin.

  • @geoquin4 how the hell can you say that he was speeding just because you are an engineer and physics expert, yes most teenagers speed all over the world but that doesn't mean the lad was.this is the most disrespectful thing I have ever read on here. you should be ashamed of yourself. obviously there has been reports to prove that he wasnt speeding otherwise mumandtwins wouldn't be posting this video.

  • @geoquin4 - " but being an engineer and physics expert " all at the ripe old age of 29 !! Man you have a 'heap' of life experience don't you. About the only experience and expert thing you have is opening your jar of vaseline. You would have to be the most insensitive piece of shit that exists !! A fucking know all who knows fuck all about anything. I pray that you keep on flushing your future kids down the shower drain, the world doesn't need pieces of shit like you populating the earth.

  • im sorry for your loss :(

  • As a former firefighter/paramedic in the US, I cannot begin to count how many times I have seen tragic crashes such as this. If you're out on the road and become tired while driving, please pull over where it's safe and rest. Don't push yourself. Remember, you have family and friends that care about you, and they want to keep you around as long as time allows. May this young man's family find comfort, and may this young man rest in peace.

  • I'm sorry

  • every parents nightmare!you are brave to show this footage for all those thinking of driving when tierd....DONT!I was lucky after falling asleep with 71 passengers on the m40 in england whilst driving a coach ,because i was greedy for earning cash.I gave up the job that day.life is priceless!!!!!!

  • i feel sorryfor your son people should be careful when driving

  • I am very sorry about your loss sweetheart. It is a very sad and tragic thing that happens. i have two friends that died from auto accidents a 17 yr old and a 18 year old. I know how bad it tears families apart. I hope that when my daughter learns how to drive she will be safe. Thank you for sharing the video. My prayers are with you. Im just sad that there are so many idiots on here saying rude comments to you. people can be so hurtful. stay strong!

  • all u asshole died and i feel good for them their fault cuz they drove realy dumb they dont folo rules

  • @runescapebeta36 the only reason I approved your comment is due to you looking like a complete tit in saying what you did, FYI he wasn't breaking any road rules no speed, no alc and no drugs, just pure tiredness now go find someone elses videos to troll

  • @runescapebeta36 how unbelievably rude and inconsiderate you are! she lost her child! you are as ignorant as they come!

  • @runescapebeta36 You seem to have been given quite a gift when it comes to writing (In case you can't tell, this is EXTREME sarcasm), you worthless scumbag.

  • @runescapebeta36 You're the best proof the teen brain isn't fully grown. People shouldn't just take responsibility on the road, but also on the Internet.

  • @runescapebeta36 you are a f***ing retard

  • So sorry

  • Thats sad :'(

  • Every time I see this I feel sad for the teen age driver and the family that suffered the grief of lousing some one so young. This can happen to any one. I have had a couple of close calls my self where I have started to drift off. I was lucky to have some one there to take control and that no cars were in the on other lane. If you are going to drive and you have to start opening the windows or turn up the radio then its time to rest or let some one else drive. I got lucky. Dont risk it!

  • @mlbdrums better still pull to the side of the road and get some sleep. OR if you know you are tired prior to driving simply don't

  • God bless you I feel your pain. I will pray for your family

  • Comment removed

  • its not really fair to say that teenagers shouldn't drive. i know just as many "adults" that have been in crashes as i do teenagers. it doesn't matter how old you are, it matters how smart you are, and what you're paying attention to and what you're not. i'm very sorry for your loss.

  • teenagers shouldnt drive. my 17 year old cousin and his friend died after their other friend drove them into the side of a train =(

  • I am an ex SA police officer from the country area. This is such an all too often scenario played out on our state roads. I am so sorry for your loss and understand what the families go through when a member of a family, particularly a young person with their whole life in front of them is lost in such tragic curcumstances. Thankyou for posting this video and it is my hope that more ppl, not just young ppl will view it. Stay strong.

  • the age of the car DOESN`T MATTER IT`S HOW THE DRIVER OF THAT VEHICLE CONTORLS IT, IT`S NOT THE CAR, IT`S THE DRIVER!!!

  • @weiserbud67 and the circumstances the driver finds themselves in

  • @weiserbud67 What? Really? common now it could have been a number of things that caused this accident which would not be the drivers fault.. everyone on here is soo quick to judge when they have no idea how these accidents happen... they just assume the driver fucked up.. An old car can have break failure, steering failure, suspension failure, bad tires... all these are factors.. It might not be any of these reaons but you can't go and blame the driver without knowing the full story.

  • <Mate, so sorry to hear this - my daughter is out most weekends with friends who seem responsible (but hey I pretended to be responsible to my parents when I was 18..) She's learning to drive at tthe moment - can take as long as possible to get he licence as far as I am concerned.. as a parent I really feel your pain - I can't concieve of how you are managing to cope..my thoughts are totally with you...

  • @xbfalcon351coupe just keep a distant eye on her

  • I'm so sorry. I'm glad you were able to post this video. I have a 15 year old daughter that talks about driving every day. All I can do for her is at least expose her to videos like this so she can see the cause and effect. And I can pray for her. The rest is up to her.

    God bless you mate.

  • @thesixtiesguy I am very passionate about Road Safety, I wish her well, see it is not only your daughters driving , it is also who she gets in a car with. whatever happens happens for a reason, we may not like the reason, but at least I am doing something with this negative. and it will go a long way towards educating others

  • meh i wouldnt worry about ur daughter getting into a high speed crash too much. Guys are usually the ones who get into high speed crashes from showing off or just trying to get a rush.. girls usually just do stupid shit like back into a parked car. or get into a fender bender in town cuz of texting/make up.

  • @OmegaxGoDx speaking of which my daughter just backed her car into the front fence she can't understand why, it may have had something to do with the way she had parked in the driveway

  • i want the laws change.

  • i'm a teenager. and I just wanna say i'm sorry for your loss. no one derserves to lose someone young, or anyone for that matter, espeically in an acident ike this. hope your doing okay.

  • sorry for ur loss i new your son pretty well was hard neva gets easy!

  • @Langer1691 no it doesn't get easier in many ways for me as I know what he is missing out on he would have been 21 years old this year, still I have had no choice but to learn to live my life in a different way with him gone, something that I have been forced to do. so my response is to get his story out there, and educate others on the risks of being on the road, sort of makes his death at least mean something

  • I am so sorry for your loss.

  • Sorry 4 your son...

  • wow thats horrible... what ended up happening to the girl?

  • sorry for your son and , from turkey

  • Hello again thats great 2 hear that you are good .Wish i could say the same im doing ok but im like alot of peole now unemployed .I think i saked you b4 if you wanted 2 be friends?. I could give you my yahoo e mail adress . Since i saw this video i cant stop thinking about you . HAVE A GREAT DAY LOL. let me no if u want mt e mail lol.

  • thanks hot weather but feeling ok

  • Wow sum of you people are a disgrace on here. How people can be so disrespectful. Stop and think b4 you make such comment how would u feel if this happend 2 your child.I am very sorry 4 your loss Mumandtwins. GOD BLESS YOU ..

  • that is why I set some of my videos to approve and the idiots get blocked and post removed thankfully they are few and far between

  • im sorry for your loss

  • its not very graphic

  • i dont understand..it says that this was a girl that lived but your saying its your son and he died? im confused

  • how simple is it to work out, there were 2 in the car, a boy ( my son) and a girl (his girlfriend. HE died and SHE survived

  • fucking stupied ass

  • haha

  • I fail to fall asleep in bed...how do people fall asleep driving a car!??!

  • honestly just hope everyone gets some good sheep b4 they drivr far

  • thats life

  • I'm 42 with a spotless record, and i fell asleep from overwork and hit a barrier in the middle of a sunny day, just because its sunny out ,don't think it can't happen to you.

  • Thank you so much for posting this. I teach in a small college. A student died last year after falling asleep at the wheel. We had just been discussing road safety, but kids think they're invincible...

You have shared your pain, showed the consequences, but also suggested prevention by education and enforcement. I believe this video will save many lives because drivers will remember--it CAN happen to anyone.

Oh, the weather report at the end is hopeful! Let's watch for sunny weather ahead.

  • sunny weather like we are experiencing at the moment, sadly there will be an increase in fatalities before the end of the years, as the school year comes to a close, Christmas and New Years, and of course young ones go out with friends for drives

  • oh..

  • That would be hard to see on every channel and know it was your son

  • sometimes when I come on here to approve comments, I turn the volume down, some days it is strange to think that was my boy. other days I can watch it no problem.

  • I may be 17, and going to be 18 in December. But I know about planning, and fatigue, also I know how to be a safe driver and avoid those "teenager" urges to speed up or the thought of "Eh, I can make it" Better to play it safe and keep the thought in mind that you are mortal.

  • Oh God....

  • mumandtwins i agree and disagree with you it all depends on the person individually the reason i say this is most of my friends cant drive at all and probably shouldnt be on the road but i was running a hotshot truck for a small company at 16(yes i know i didnt have a license but i was more than capable for the job) i have had one wreck and only because somebody who was ALMOST 30 YEARS old was drunk as hell so i agree and disagree but most teens dont take driving as seriusly as i do

  • ok im 23 i have been driven trucks since 19teen i drive that road all the time it aint just young kids its also older people i had a crash almost the same but it was with a 32 year old guy that finshed work and his wife told him to get to her house othere wise thay was braken up im the pore kid who had hm drive under my truck so it aint just age mainly about if ur tire stop have a 15 min power nap. and dont have a big day or night if u know u have a big trip to do.

  • mmm 23 years of age maybe younger it shows in your comment

  • its not that teenagers should be driving, They need to learn to drive.

Teenagers with bad judgement shouldnt drive

    THERE ARE CURFEWS in place

but saying that a 19 year old shouldnt drive is unreasonable, at the age of 18 of 19 children are independent and should not rely on family for transit

im sorry that this tragedy has happened to you, and it has reoccurred to my friend as his father died in a night accident, but to say that Teenagers Should Not Drive is an unreasonable generalization.

  • oh my gosh that's sad =( sorry to hear this send my regards to ur family.

  • I am sorry and agree entirely. Your point is absolutely correct. I'm a teacher and the point others miss is that although novice drivers are inexperienced at driving, they are also immature due to age. With advanced age comes (one hopes and evidence proves) at least some degree of wisdom and less impetuous, impulsive and reckless behaviors and better decision making ability.

Good luck to you. Thank you for your post.

  • I completely agree with this comment.

  • thankyou

  • MRI scans in the USA have literally proven that a teenage brain is much different to a child and to an adult. the teenage brain is not a defective adult brain, it just hasn't fully developed the neuropathways, I have just recently done a research paper on the risk factors involved in road fatalities of the 16 to 25 yr age group.

  • I'm so sorry to hear this..my aunt died by getting run over by a car..she was trying to teach her son to park an car..anyways, thoughts and prayer goes out to ur family

  • my cousin also died because he went to sleep while driving on the highway, in the States, due to fatigue

    :(

  • I'm sorry for your loss..........

  • Thats sad :(

  • i am sorry bout the losses...but makin it were teens cant drive wont really do anything cause they have to learn to drive wether there 16 or 21

  • as stated above, a 21 year old will be much more mature and responsible than a 16 year old who can show off to their friends beacuse he or she is the only one who can drive.

  • my point exactly and there is the scientific proof to back it up even though Dion was 18 yrs old when he had this crash, he had his learners since he was 16 yrs, and during learners they say it is the safest time when they have a mature supervising driver along side them. Dion was just over 18 when he could drive solo, yet congitive he was very much like a 16 yr old

  • rip

  • I am sorry for you loss. It stays with you for the rest of your life. Your life is full of "what if's" but as a police friend told me about a death close to me, "You can't play shoulda coulda woulda".

Fatigue was involved here; I just read an article from a teenager now in prison for driving home drunk aftger an afternoon on the river, one car crash killing 2-3 of his friends in the car.

He said that he had the rest of his life to think aboutthe consequences of his lack of good jusgement.

  • I'm sorry for your loss but raising the age limit for drivers won't do anything! Teenagers just HAPPEN to be the majority of people who are NEW to driving. Thats why inexperience definitely = more deaths. If you up the age limit to 18, there is no reason to believe deaths will go down. Just as if you raise the limit to 25 years old, there would still be a lot of accidents because of inexperienced drivers behind the wheel for the first time. This kind of thing is inevitable.

  • I understand your point but it is not entirely true - many younger drivers will often take risks that an older driver (of same driving experience) would not take.

  • i am so sorry for you loss

  • sorry to hear your loss,ma'am............

  • Comment removed

  • I agree the drinking age should also be raised to the age of 21 yrs. However in this particular crash alcohol was NOT a factor at all, or speed, Dion had a considerable amount of fatigue for such a long trip in such a short space of time, with very little highway driving experience.

  • I am sorry about your lost but I understand alcohol did not have a factor and it was fatigue I am sorry if my comments looked like I thought otherwise. God bless you and your family. ;-)

  • Comment removed

  • alcohol was not a factor in this crash, it was pure fatigue there has been plenty of research that supports raising the minimum driving age to 18 yrs

  • parents aren't suppose to burry their childern...

  • I am so sorry for what your family has gone through. No parent should have to experience the loss of a child.....

  • I'm so sorry, but at the same time, thank you. It's these posts that save the lives of others. I will educate my kids with this and kick their asses if they don't listen. Again, so sorry.

  • that guys full dead

  • sure is my son and I had the not so envious job of identifying his body not a nice thing for anyone to have to do

  • Is anyone else irked by how parents these days shrug responsibility for the fate of their children? No child of mine would've been raised this way, let me tell you. My children are all safe and sound, and they know better than to do stupid things like driving while they're dead tired.

  • it is something my ex husband will have to live with for the rest of his life,

  • You are not certain of what all the contibuting factors were, also have you ever driven anywhere while tired? I am sure you have at least once; that is all it takes. I WILL TELL YOU: Your comment is very insensitive ESPECIALLY FOR A PARENT! If anything is stupid in all of this, it is you.

  • Darnell, this could happen to anyone. It doesn't matter how good a parent you are.

  • your children may be next dumb ass

  • darnell.....ok thts a really gay thing to say and really just because you tell urkids to do stuff and disipline them doesnt mean they will always listen so yeah

  • you are a stupied ass that shounldnt even have kids cause you dont know what kids do behind there parents back and with you thinking its all about how you rise your kids guess again its not kids will be kids they do stupied things without thinking about it! people always think " Not me this could NEVER happen to me" but there wrong it can happen to anyone no matter what!

  • Is anyone else irked by how parents these days shrug responsibility for the fate of their children? No child of mine would've been raised this way, let me tell you. My children are all safe and sound, and they know better than to do stupid things like driving while they're dead tired.

  • tell that to his father, although his father will do anything to minimise his contribution to this crash happening.

  • you are a brave mum to air this. I was in a traffic jam on a busy motorway and woke up to be under a lorry and in the confusion then put my foot on the excellerator and just heard grating metal. I had full concentration and warn others it can happen to all of us. Do not drive if tired. I had to be cut out of my car

  • if my sons death, or my nephews death saves just one life then it is all worth it

  • my female friend died in nearly same way

    very sorry :(

  • wow i saw ur other video so u lost ur son and nephew....

im sorry for ur loss =(

  • my cousin died 2001 close in the same way.

His friend drove the car, a 92" VW Passat on a street, you have to ride max. 20-30mph if you wanna be secure. he drove about 80mph as the collision happend. A bus crosses their way on a cross road and they hit the bus frontal with 80mph. Both were dead immediately. But why they had to go with such a high speed? Everythink could be finde if you watch the law! RIP Dado & Zdenko

  • sorry man,i have a son and this video made me go kiss & hug him..thx for your story~Mike NYC

  • I was in a really bad car accident in 1996 resulting in my very first boyfriends death. I had fallen asleep, he wanted to drive from Oregon to Colorado with out sleep. He fell asleep after I did and we collided with a Semi.. RIP Brandon.

  • he shoulda stopped on the side of the road and slept a bit. I do that when I'm too tired.

  • I know what u mean, I was like that when I was driving feeling so tired and sleepy...all I want to do was close my eyes and just sleep...but kept myself awake for the sake of the sake and promised myself never drive feeling tired or sleepy.

  • i am so sorry for your loss. its never easy losing a family member so tragically. i also have lost very close friends at a young age in automobile accidents as teenagers. I

  • I work 17 hour days with an hour and a half drive before and after work and sometimes have to get creative on how to keep myself awake. I dont think stopping teenagers from driving will lower crash rates though, it will just make the statistics a higher age. Im sorry for your loss, as a father i cant imagine losing my baby girl.

  • Thanks for sharing. It must be difficult to watch these videos. I know you do not want his death to be in vain. Perhaps this story will prevent others from driving while sleepy.

  • i don't think so Bethintx1. people still don't get it, they drive so crazy, do they think that they are the only ones on the street? (some)

  • some day there will be electronic devices in the road that will alert the driver when he starts to leave his lane, and/or prevents the car from driving into the other lane. The technology exists, it just needs implemented.
