  • Do Blink 182's new album called Neighborhoods.

  • DOS PUNS

  • They recorded a live album at Warehouse which is my local alternative club in Preston, it's pretty much the coolest thing around me so thanks Joy Division :D

  • 1:57 editing fail. that's my useless comment of the day.

  • @BATTCIHY DAMMIT YOU CAUGHT ME!

  • i love you. joy division is my favourite band and you hit my opinion on it spot on. well done:)

  • @lisaisaparasitex thank you! :D I love hearing when I get these videos done right!

  • One of the 5 best albums ever made, without discussion

  • bought this album the other day, and it changed the way i see music.

  • @donuthaters12 THATS what I like to hear!

  • It's nice to see opinions on these albums, as much as I like being exposed to new stuff, I like what you've done with the older albums as a reflection, I see they way you describe things has become more descriptive and expressive too, which is nice. I'm from Manchester \o it's a pleasure to still see their work being appreciated.

  • I just discovered your videos recently and they are excellent! and Im so glad you reviewed older albums including this from one of my all time favourites from my home town. You did a great job, you should review or listen to Substance by joy division if you havnt already, released after Ian's death a superb compilation of unreleased stuff, b sides and song made as warsaw that album introduced me to joy division and is the one I turn to the most. Keep up the great work!

  • @aldc84 wow...thank you so much! I have listened to Substance many times! I love that thing.

  • As a solid Joy Division fan, i would agree with you totally, that Closer had its periods where it was my favorite Joy Division release and vice-versa.

but why choose when we have both.

  • @bananaphone83 exactly! Thats my response to anyone who prefers one over the other.

  • wo-tang clan is still alive?

  • @toadenk yea man! Theyre still killin it.

  • i cant stand ian's voice

  • @TheRaptureSea Prepare to be flamed.

  • @JohnOBrienMusic joy division is one of those bands that's more fascinating to talk about than listening to

  • @TheRaptureSea eh thats fine. some people cant and thats understandable.

  • Are you going to review Still or Substance?

  • @TheVoiceAndTheSnake nah the weeks over :c

  • Next theme week should be PROTO PUNK week! :D

  • @echobears nah. something other than punk.

  • @echobears lets ease up on the punk haah

  • @Threecreation yeah man just kidding! Are you going to carry on with theme weeks?

  • After watching this review I have an urge to listen to both albums again. They're both such classics.

  • @TasteInPlacebo please do :D its great music, I agree

  • Got the vinyl, fuck yeah!

  • @pressove aaaaaaaawwwww yeeeeeeeeaaaaaah. Supportin' the artists

  • The amount of people I’ve seen wearing this t-shirt in Manchester is ridiculous. I don’t really get it tbh. Joy division’s music doesn’t move me as much as (it seems) the majority of people.

  • @columthealmighty aw ): bro thats a shame. Well even IVE got a t shirt from them haha

  • lol the killers covered shadow play

  • @lovelaj0149 trololololololol it was on Sawdust right? xD

  • @Threecreation yah it was that's a great record

  • God, I love this album, and Joy Division. And I'd just like to say that singers like Ian Curtis (and Matt Berninger and Leonard Cohen) have really done a lot to solidify baritones as a legitimate and completely refreshing option in a massive fucking ocean of tenor rock singers. And I can't thank them enough. I don't think I would have gotten as hooked to Joy Division as I did if I weren't a baritone and didn't feel so outcast because nobody wants to hear a band without a tenor lead. Thank you.

  • @Lauffles nooooo problem (: Glad I could review and album you guys love.

  • great review man. i really enjoy the videos cause not only do you put out content worth watching you also interact with your viewers a lot more then others of your "kin" which is some thing i really appreciate. keep it up.

  • @esmeronrpg2193 aw wow thank you for such a great comment! I do my best!

  • could you review the Noveller album Glacial Glow? it was released two months ago, but I only just heard about it.

  • @1337Ravage eh probably not ): sorreh

  • Great week and reviews. Thanks man.

  • @MyMOSHU no problemo :D

  • A great end to a great week.

  • @MrXtrmntr I most certainly agree!

  • There was very little Fugazi in that new Wu Tang song...

  • @ItsAwfulbutitWorks oh u ;D

  • So many puns.

  • @MoriKAshi ahurp xD

  • This album is so great, I didn't know who I was until I could sit down and listen to this album and take it in. One thing I have to point out is in the Joy Division documentary, one of the band members points out how they never really took notice of what Ian Curtis was saying in his lyrics, but in light of his suicide, they were "daft" for that reason.

  • @TheSethIkrass wow I didnt even know that :\ thats tragic

  • @Threecreation yeah as much as I love their music, Ian Curtis was actually a pretty weak person. He was cheating on his wife and he was a neglectful father. From what I gather he felt pretty guilty for cheating on his wife, but he kept sleeping with that French bird anyway. I know his epilepsy was really bothering him too.

  • @TheSethIkrass although he was never diagnosed people close to him now say it is pretty obvious that he was bi-polar which explains a lot of his behaviour and the different sides to ian curtis. Also back then treatment of epilepsy was pretty bad, the drugs did more worse then good not that im defending him being a bad husband and father.

  • @aldc84 I know they think he had bipolar but that is just heresay. I have epilepsy so I can relate to the frustrations that come with it. Also, allot of people have stereotypical concepts about mental illnesses. Wild moods swings and bipola are not the same thing. My mother had bipolar (she suffered the same fate as Ian). In any rate I think I enjoy JD music more so because I relate so much to their music and the back story, it helps me find closure.

  • @TheSethIkrass If you read , 'touching from a distance' which was written by his wife it goes in to greater description of what he went through. I wouldn't call him a weak person but I also cant say for sure that he had bi-polar although the signs are there.

  • love your vids man. and believe it or not im watching your vids more than needledrop's 0_0

  • @HxCSounds haha Im flattered :D Thanks

  • review more old music!

  • @donuthaters12 One of these days we'll do just that!

  • Great review man, keep them up

  • @Nairamo82 I certainly shall :D
