This show is very flexible in that you can have pretty much anyone sing anything. especially with the brothers songs, the score is rarely followed closely

out of freakin nowhere! lol. and in every show there is a random dance scene in the middle, almost always, no matter who is producing. but honestly lol! its never explained how they are all poor and starving and in famine but hey? lets do a waltz!

i guess you could justify it by saying "its a comedy, so that gives them license to do things like that" :-D but yeah, its totally random. especially since the play takes place in Israel and Egypt, and there is absolutely nothing french before or after this little song, it literally comes out of nowhere!
