Thanks for all the compliments and comments. I enjoyed my time with the Grass Roots and miss Rob. I do stay in contact with Warren, who is artist management now.
Thanks Scott Hoyt for this upload. You are a great singer and musician. I think about Mr. Grill at least once a day. I wasn't a big fan of The Grass Roots but when I heard he passed away, I couldn't believe it. I seen the Grass Roots back in the summer of 2003 and he had a brace on his leg and using crutches, I had no idea he was suffering from a bone disease. He was such a talent and I can understand why he lead the band what a handsome man.

Love this video! Thanks for posting Scott. I must admit the first time I saw you perform I was furious to put it politely! I have been a fan for 40t years. My cousin, our sisters & I went to a small club in Princeton, WV, where The Grass Roots were going to be playing. When they started playing they didn't look or sound exactly right. The longer the show lasted the madder my cousin & I got, which was pretty mad. My cousin later found out this was all done with Rob's blessing.
The first time I saw the GR's in concert was about '82. Watching this made my whole week! Thank you a million times over for posting this...Scott, you ROCK!!
Okay, Scott! Are you SERIOUS? Never knew you were in THE GRASS ROOTS? Did you record "Sooner Or Later" with them? You're "Level Of COOL" just went waaay up, my friend. : )
This is incredible! Thank you so much for posting! I have met Rob 3 times and I will be going to a concert in Cleveland when The Grass Roots play. I also have tickets for the show in Michigan on April 16. Rob is such a nice guy! I really am a die hard fan of The Grass Roots. Rock on!

Scott...being a big fan of Warren Entner, I have to say you do a damn fine job singing his parts on Midnight confession.
