i have the code, and a few texture hax, but when i try to start the game from gecko os it starts loading... then when its finished loading the screen gets green for a fraction of a second then the screen is black and i have to unplug the wii or else i cant turn it off. HELP!

if you do then you need a hack when you go to homebrew you click bootmii but you need sertane files to do it

remmber if its 4.2 find wad manerger 1.4 and when your on 1.4 use ios36 and unisnstal ios249

you will need the ios 249 wad in a folder called

Folks, I'm on 1.9.2 and i have tried everything, and i'm hooked to fix it. I am on homebrew, with system 4.2 and Getko Os does not work, i just get a blank screen, i need some help so i can use megaman 9 cheat codes again. Any one WIling to help?

Gecko OS 1.9.2 uses a different kind of loading thats supportable on version 4.2, get version 1.9.1, it'll work.

if you delete any ios under 200 it will brick your wii eventually so done uninstal any under 200

1.9.3 you can put cheats on wii games and channels

1.9.2 only wii games

1.9.1 wii channels and wii games

if you have 4.2 wii you have to uninstal ios 249 first and other hacks will work

you need to instal a ios its 249 the new one when you get 4.2 version wii get homebrew 4.2 like on my video theres a download and you have to find wad manerger 1.4 and uninstal the ios249 thats the syub nintendo made to not let people hack with homebrew and then you fined something called ios36 rev 10 or ios38 rev 14 and instal that use internet better to instal then to have to find the wad with the rev14 best for burnt wii agmes and using a hard drive to play downloaded games

Hello there and I have a question about Gecko OS 1.9.1. I have Super Smash Brothers Brawl and I have the codes for them but the problem is that I have no clue were to put the codes in my SD Card. The old version said to make a codes folder and to put it in the root of the SD Card. but it dosen't work and I tried puting it in the same folder as the Gecko OS folder but that dosen't work either. So is there anything you can do for me or some guide lines on where to put the codes?

If anyone wants this to work on a legit update of 3.3v2, 3.4, or 4.0 you have to install an old IOS 36. I'm sure you can find one on the internet.

everything will work if you are using a chipped wii.

otherwise you need to set gecko os to use a certain IOS to boot the game (don't know if that works)

CIOSCORP works 100% though since it brute-forces it.

Yes, it works on 4.0. But if you don't have the Homebrew Channel, you have to install it within the BannerBomb method.

About keeping it closed source, I don't think that's allowed. If geckoOS was released under the GPL, I'm pretty sure this version needs to as well.

they're extracted banners from the ISO's used by USB Loader, I find it a lot easier to use that then get up and switch discs

The sources I started with were what was completed of Gecko OS 2.0. Those sources were NOT under GPL. Nuke doesn't mind if brkirch keeps it closed source. If it weren't for the fact that the sources would be misused (almost an exact copy of the source would be put into a "backup" loader, continuing an unwanted association with them) then brkirch would make it open source. Maybe in the future he will release the source.

Possibly in the future there will be GameCube support.
