Check the date this was posted. It's reasonable to assume that their skating skills have come along considerably in the three years hence (two of which with WFTDA). Consider how long before it was posted that it probably was shot. If you want a scare, watch some '04 derby. Or some '01 derby.

Liked it but i had the feeling the girls were too concerned with their theme, makeup and outfits than with with sport and the kicking of other girls asses. The hot ones that didn't skate much definitely had more camera time than the 300lb girls doing all the blocking. But...THATS SHOWBIZ!

What great memories, The roller Derby will always hold a very special memory for me,I remember Ronnie Robinson,Jonie Weston, And so many more as my parents would drive me to Memphis to watch the Roller Derby.

You don't skate better... it's only faster because the bank adds the force of gravity. Flat-track takes a lot more skill & strategy, plus the audience gets the chance of having a rollergirl land in their lap!
