But Ikki hardly ever appears, and Shiryu's battles are always very fierce (in my opinion)... but I think they both get the strongest guys, actually. They are great characters, in spite of who gets the strongest guys. But it is a fact that Shiryu has his ass kicked more... and always gets blind.
then he goes and pwns 2 of the strongest God Warriors in Asgard all by him self and manages to fight the legend Dragon Siegfried and manages to defeat him discovering his weakness...then he owns theson of the seas Krishna and holder of the holy traioen.. Dragon Shiryu the BEST libra FTW
Dragon Shiruy is the godlyest character in saint seiya over all he has the best story line and most interesting flow in the plot, his a direct disiple of a Gold saint (and only one) not just that but his master is about the strongest GoldSaint "Dohko", another thing to point out is that Shiryu pwns the most enemies in SaintSeiya, 1st of he pwns the strongest silver saint, than defeats 2 gold saints "complete defeat"...
If you refer to the anime, you´re right, Shiryu is the only one taught by an Gold Saint there. But if you take the Manga into consideration, he isn´t. Camus taught Hyoga and Isaac. And Dohko probably isn´t the strongest.
don't forget that Dohko also was training another Knight named Okko you see him in the early episodes when Shiryu goes back to china after been blinded for the first time.
