hey why doesnt yellow zebera make the touhou anime i mean they have made the grand prix and the first epsiode was unofficail so i thix they make the anime im jus speakin out loud

@rikuvampire27 ZUN said he doesn't want to see his characters in anime. He might change his mind in the future, but right now he wishes against it. His fans respect it and limit themselves to PVs, drawings, doujin games and music instead

@rikuvampire27 He sees the Touhou Project as doujin, amateur , noncommercial work. Allowing a 3rd party to make an anime would almost certainly mean commercializing the show due to high seiyuu and animation costs. That goes against ZUN's belief of free usage by everyone. He realizes by keeping the Project relatively unknown, there'll always be a certain enjoyable atmosphere. A unique set of conditions unfamiliar with other franchises.

@rikuvampire27 Again, neither manga nor amateur games require a large budget. There's no real point in arguing over it, though. I mean ZUN ultimately decides what happens with his girls. He loves all the short PVs, loves the music and he supervises some manga productions in his spare time. Supervising the production of an anime probably takes a lot of time which he doesn't have. In the end, it's still just a hobby of him

@Xmask Not entirely true, anyone can produce doujin manga featuring touhous. In the case of Wild & Horned Hermit, Inaba of the Moon/Earth, zun provided the story to manga-producers, which makes it canon work.
