    in my first attempt to build a synchro drive base I used the gear ring, but that caused too much friction. I switched to a design with less gears, check brickshelf galery id 479819

  • I like this, there are a few things i would have done differently, but You should check this one out, It was never built because i dont have an NXT but I designed it, for competition.

    Might need some adjustments here and there, but If you want you can go ahead a build it the design file is on the page.

    That is my take on a lego "synchro" or Crab drive. Looks good keep up the good work

  • I mainly followed the directions from Philo's joystick, I made some modifications to fit my needs, but you can find the joystick if you go the nxtlog on the Lego Mindstorms web site and search for joysticks. Then he has a link to the instructions.
