It was really strange watching this as many of the paintings in this film, particularly the one of Prince Phillip and Princess Elizabeth (HM The Queen), are displayed on the legendary QE2.
From memory I beleive that the painting of Prince Phillip and Princess Elizabeth is displayed on the stair case on the left side of the Caronia restaurant.
How glad I was to find this. Many Many thanks. I was a musician on the Caronia
in 1963. For a whole year I cruised including a three month world cruise and got
paid for it how good was that ! Cunard (and Captain Marr) were great to work for.
We dined with the officers, freely mixed with the passengers.We had free access
to any unused seats on tour excursions. I have many happy memories, photos
and cine film for my old age !
