The reason I remember the Gokudera moment so easily is because it's like...

The first 18 episodes of Reborn were nothing but Daily Life episodes where Tsuna just runs around in boxers all day and does random shyt.

But then the Mukuro arc starts at episode 19 and all of a sudden Gokudera gets hit in the chest and is bleeding out and its like...is this the same f**ken anime ive been watching?!?!

Why the producers went all out showing blood in the Mukuro arc but then only showed it on rare occasions (Squalo cutting Yamamoto, Hibari's hand stab) is beyond me...

Perhaps the producers thought Reborn was a kids show and showing so much blood during the Mukuro arc was too frightening for kids who watched Reborn... I dunno.

But I do find it pretty puzzling.

You know, everyone seems to be mentioning that this is the one time in the Reborn anime that acually showcased blood but thats not true.

When the fighting finally was starting up in Reborn with the Mukuro gang, the anime producers went all out showing blood in the fights.

I mean, you had Gokudera simply taking a couple needles to the chest for Tsuna but his shirt ended up turning crimson red. Made it look more painful then anything the anime dished out afterwards.

@RetlocLive I agree with you. It's kinda ridiculous how they have little hurt and show so much pain. I hated it especially in Gokudera's battle for the ring: it totally loses its sense there, when Gokudera cannot take the ring because of being severely injured. In the anime he just seem a pussy, whilst in the manga is showed how he REALLY could die/faint of blood loss.

Show considered kid show are such a pain >_>

@RetlocLive It's that softcore from the start. Reborn's bullets don't really hit Tsuna, instead there is this strange light and the bullet itself is thrown back. And Gokudera doesn't smoke... In the manga Leon doesn't transform into a gun, it's always a real gun and what they did to the 10-years-later bazooka is a joke. Lambo jumping inside of it? Hell no, he was shooting in his face! The countdown with the watches was originally with teeth.

And that's why the manga pwns the anime, like always.

I only started reading the Reborn manga after the anime went on hiatus at the end of the Future Arc so I never knew about the manga stuff before hand.

But just keep what happened in the manga out and approach Reborn in just it's anime perspective and you'll see that the Mukuro Gang arc was acually quite bloody compared to everything else in Reborn that came out afterwards.
