Thank you! The BKT (Brazilian Keratin Treatment) is a liquid that you blow-dry and flat-iron into your hair to achieve a looser curl pattern. Most of the treatments on the market are formaldehyde-based. The formaldehyde actually does most of the straightening (along with the heat). I do not recommend the BKT because of the formaldehyde. The results and money to be made from it are not worth the health risk.

I'm so sorry to chime in like that but I would really love if you could answer that question for me..In June, I received my 1st relaxer, kiddie relaxer that is, because the crown of my head turned to a 4a/b texture & I didn't know how to manage it (I have 3b/c hair). My hair has reverted to a looser curl. I don't plan on perming again,& I trying to grow it back out as healthy&long as I can but I was scared that I had to do the BC..do I?
