@snubbyj It might just be me, that is to say I am uncertain, but did you have to speed the video up at or around the time you switch to poker face? your movements look kind of odd ( even if it is I could understand I play the drums I understand the muscle strain)

@cardboardfrog he is very talented, but the basic lay out of the instrument is the same as a xylophone, marimba, or piano. the white keys are the front row (which is hard to see) and the the black keys are the sets of 2 and 3 you can see. the high notes on the right (from his point of view) which use shorter PVC to create a high pitch and the lower on the left, which use longer PVC for a lower pitch. i bet he put a lot of time into making that. most of which was probably spent tuning it.nice job

There could be mics where you hit the tubing, and more mics down at the other end of the tubes that pick up the actual note.. then you could have two tracks, edit the levels of each to compliment each other and boom you've got variable loudness in "percussion" and tone :D just an idea...

$1.000 dollars to make? its a table with holes in it and a bunch of PVC pipe, even if it is complex you should be able to get the supplies for one of those in about $300-$400.

@Fishslave111 That is true, which is why my first PVC Instrument cost about that much. But, this one has a bigger shelf frame, a lot more elbows (which surprisingly adds up a lot), is spray painted (which also surprisingly we needed a lot of), and has some lesser-noticed features including the wheels, several metal straps to tightly secure the pipes together, and some paddle holders. So, with all of those extra features and extra pipe turns, it totaled up to be roughly under $1000.
