Everyone is different, but I am guessing if you were able to hold turns using your arms and stabilize yourself out of the saddle using your core, you would be a lot more interested than you were previously on the bikes that were available and get a much better full body workout along with burning an additional 2.2 calories per minute. I would try going to a class with a good instructor teaching a group of people who is motivational and playing good music.
Unless it can measure watts , cadence , heart rate and all the other vital info it wont appeal to the competitive cyclist . I'd buy one when it does ! Very nice otherwise .
I am a competitive cyclist and have found it to be an excellent training tool. I'm also lucky enough to own a Keiser M3 which has all of the information you mentioned. If you get a chance to ride a RR I'd highly recommend it. I was equally dismissive when I first saw it but after a couple of weeks riding it the results, faster times, better climbing, speak for themselves.
The Expresso bike has an awesome display that leads to a price tag over $5K. The bike itself is still a rigid frame bike and the handlebars are flimsy. There is no comparison in quality or effectiveness. Compare both bikes and you will see.
Check out facebook's events page - there's a free RealRyder intro class at the Santa Monica Airport show room every Tuesday evening at 6p.m. I'll be there - can't wait to ride that thing!!
why is it feist always ends up in cycling and fixed gear videos?

Want a real rider? Get a bike. Go outside. Ride it.
