  • I mix a lot of jazz in with the celtic tunes... and it's kind of hard trying to play a B section a semitone higher on an Irish flute, for example... let alone play anything thoroughly chromatic, or improvise on substitutions etc. Of course the embellishments will never sound the same as on wooden flute, but what you lose in that department you gain in another, especially if you can improvise :-)

  • Fair play for trying ....I have been playing trad on Boehm for almost fifty years. I also use a Radcliff sometimes They have their strengths in some siuations but they are now rare . Keep up the good work!

  • i can play irish music on concert flute it is possible

  • @celtic4ever18 Put up a few tunes ....I think we should fond a new movemet for the Boehm flute!!
