I loved my Stomper 4x4 when I was a kid. I'd take one of those giant square flashlight batteries and hoook it up to it to give it "turbo" power. That damn Stomper would scream so fast the little engine would literally heat up and glow like a piece of molten lava. Good times!
i had one about 83, had working head lights and honcho on the doors. it wsa blazer i think. had a blast with it! wore it out, lots of water, snow and mud 4x4ing. they were the s@&#!!!!
Back in the 80's I used to take three sets of tires and super glue them together to make a wide ass monster stomper. Were we fortunate to grow up in the 80's or what!!!!!!!
Oh cool, is in like new condition? How much was it? I haven't really checked eBay for them. I have about ten from when I was a kid, but this was the only one that was still working.
well playing with the power scout on the sand is really fun its just you have to clean the axle every 3 minutes =[ i just got the money back on the my power scout do you think i should get another one?
Yeah, I've been interested in trying those out and see how they compare. It's like a new generation of Stompers. I like how you just tap down on the body to turn them on or off, and the tires look cool for tackling terrain. I wonder what their power and speed are like. I'll probably get one soon to find out.
Definitely. I almost got one while at Target today, but I was just there to get something in a hurry. But, I might go grab one tomorrow, and I'm lookin' forward to playin' with it. Will make a video for sure.
I went to a Target and Walmart today, and they both just had a small selection of the Power Scouts, like 3-4, and I didn't like any of the styles. I was excited to get one and try out, the Target I went to a couple days ago had some nice ones. I'll be going to another Target tomorrow, so hopefully I get one then.
Power scouts are all right, but they are top heavy. Now stompers the best ones are the series 1 ones(skinny Wheels)a power scout would out pull them,But as far as speed and hill climbing the stomper takes it.
Yeah, I have the one Power Scout and it is heavy and quite slow. The Stomper in this video is a series 1 Stomper and it is much faster than the Power Scout. I Have yet to run them side by side on the same terrain as in this video, but I'm sure what we'll see is the Power Scout getting smoked anyway.
I got one of the Power Scouts today. I haven't opened it yet, but I think it's pretty cool and look forward to playing with it. Probably won't get around to it until tomorrow or the next day though.
I didn't play with it much, but I did open it up and check it out a little. It's more bigger compared to a Stomper than I originally thought, and weighs about twice as much. It seems to be more powerful, but slower.
I'll play with it some more when I have the time, as well as take it out in the dirt and shoot some video.
hey do think a power scout can handle the beach where people mostly build tracks for there toy trucks and dirtbikes? because i went to the beach last sunday and i was thinking of getting a power scout to screw around there
If people play with toy trucks and/or dirt bike it might be able to handle it. But, if it's really loose sand, maybe not so much. Never say never though. I tried the Stomper at a playground where the sand is very loose like the beach. It had a bit of trouble and mostly just dug into the sand. The Power Scout might be better at it since it runs slower than a Stomper.
hey i got a power scout to play in the sand with and it was a good little thing, it got messed though and it stopped working =[. i gonna exchange it tomorrow the power scout is really cool it works best on hard pack stuff or grass or dirt
Thanks for checkin' it out. No, this is from my collection from when I was a kid. I have about 10 Stompers and Rough Riders (Stompers copycat), but this and one Rough Riders truck were the only ones working.
I recently been goin' through old storage boxes, so I been finding a bunch of vintage toys, from action figures to diecast cars to RC's and everything in between.
I'll be doin' more videos soon. Got a cool vintage motorized Bigfoot 4x4 truck to video.

austinkx09 2 years ago
Okay, thanks for the tip. I'll keep that in mind if I decide to try it.
As for getting another one, depends on how much you liked it or not. Or you can try something new with that money.
smutoys 2 years ago
i liked it alot i just don't know if i want to spend my money. dont think im a cheapo or anything i just wanna save my money
austinkx09 2 years ago
Haha then just get your money back, save it or use it for something else. 'Cause you can always buy another Power Scout at another time if you want.
