dude you're a total gangsta for doing it with a sitar... finally! everybody can cover yesterday, it takes skills and awareness to do within you without you
thanks for this one @joebee500. i have a same request. could you just add to the description the notation form of this song.(with the Hindustani notes, pls)
i've been in love witht his insturment for many years but never really learned. any advice on getting started? and no i dont own one yet, i also heard theyre super heavy
@GMSamuelRhine They are actually extremely light. The case i have for it IS SUPER heavy. If you don't have an instructor, i recommend watching beginner videos on youtube. That's how i learned.
i love orient relgions liek budhist hindu all that stuff but my soul is a bit inconsistent im more of a yin yang kinda guy i lveo the peacefull one with nature love life stuff however at the same time im very meniviolent and angery i love this instrament on my peace side but i also love the eltric guitar for how hard and violent it sounds i much less play then i really do beat the living shit out of it lol
so im interested in getting a sitar and learning, where would be a good place to look into buying one? is it not recommended to buy one online would you say
nice playing. Could I please have the notations for the song. In the Indian format- I play the veena, and I am so dying to find out the notes for this song. Please could you send me the notes?
do you think if I were to buy a cheap sitar (as cheap as a sitar gets I mean) that it would be a hassle to deal with? would I be better off saving some extra money for a nicer one?
@Scharizzle Man, there are no basics. Just get a teacher and a sitar. and be willing to live through some moderate pain, but it is more than worth it. SERIOUSLY, its an awesome and challenging instrument top play.
That was cool. Some suggestions though. U need to hold it more horizontally and u should put your thumb on the joint. It gives u more power. Also you should be struming up and down. Not just up.
The worst thing about a sitar is keeping it in tune. It won't stay in tune for days like a guitar will. It needs to be tuned every couple songs. There is also a difference in western music and eastern music when it comes to the chromatic scale. We have whole notes and sharp/flats. They have notes inbetween the sharps and whole notes. It is kinda weird cuz the frets can be moved on a sitar to change the pitch. But, with great patience you can move the frets to the notes that you desire to play.
hello man I´m search somebody that want to make a collab cover (NORWEGIAN WOOD) in the sitar... you can?? send me a message please = )
