Sorry, I didn't mean to sound so pompous in my response. I agree that TCS and Travis sound similar. TCS first hit the charts back in 1990 and don't get the credit that they should for influencing these other band. Cheers...
This is just BRILLIANT songwriting, singing, and playing! These guys have SO much talent. I've got two of their albums (Cake and Weightlifting), and there's both INCREDIBLE.
I bought Cake after hearing one song way back in college, and I agree with whoever said it was one of the best albums ever made. This band is unbelievably talented and unbelievably underrated.
I first heard of this group when "Hayfever" was on the radio, but it took me about ten more years to finally get around to buying their cds. I was so glad to see a new cd from them with "Weightlifting", and "All The Dark Horses" is my favorite from it.
do you have ANYTHING of them Live - Their 1st CD I still consider one of the most beautiful records ever made -gentle yet rocking-the CD that almost always is played while making Love (oppppppssssss too much info) ;-)
Each CD gets better and better and harder and harder to find in the States -a shame cause I really thought they would be a big hit here
this is the theme song for a Wildfire episode. It was used well on the show!!!!

Correction, TRAVIS sounds a lot like THEM; TCS were around first and clearly influenced them.
