  • The stagename for J.D. Fortune came from J.D. Salinger and the stagename Flame Fortune for the wannabe singer Michael Hutchence was trying to promote in the '80s. I named the band Paramore for the Paramour Mansion recording studios after I wrote Decode and hearing the Farris Bros of INXS talking about holding the RockStar show there when Hutch decided to bail on the band. I came up with the stagename P!nk for Bob Geldof in The Wall.  I knew them & Hutch & Geldof were friends.

  • I knew J. D. was the winner with this preformance. He blew my socks off! I know INXS and Dave were not seeing it the same way. They should have payed more attention to the audiance reaction. They saw the star that is J. D. !!!!!!!
