AHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm embarassed to say that I got everyone one of those references.... and i sang along to the theme music.... I need a life.
The pivotal part of this video, for me, was recognizing Dave's rocking chair, and getting excited because of it...as if I've never met you people before.
How could you guys not like Click and Clack! They are one of my favorite shows on NPR. Them and A Prairie Home Companion. The old school sound effects are magic to my ears :)
Oh my god, so sad that I know exactly what all of these mean. Also, I had a professor at Harvard who sounded EXACTLY like Scott Simon (Gary Urton, anthropology). I didn't even realize I had subconsciously absorbed Herman Miller aeron chairs until you mentioned them. Advertizing through osmosis.
Furthermore, is Bob Oakes Canadian? The way he says his last name is just like how someone from Toronto says "about", like "uh-behwt". "Bob Ehwkes".
@deesave My name is Lakshmi, so it used to drive me crazy. I mean, she's in a position to help a sistah out, you know? But then I found out that she's Trinidadian, so I forgave her. :)
@MorroccoSurrogate Usually they have National Public Radio in the mornings, in the evening, and on the weekends. Other than that they usually have jazz and classical on.
and driveway moments....hahahah i have those too...ill be listening to some argument and just be whispering, say it, say it, say it!!!!! the man or woman says what i want...and i get out of the car. loool
Love, love, love... especially fab that this was done by staffers at my very own local NPR station. Way to go guys! (and, really, only you guys do a fund drive fun enough to want to listen to : )
