see obviously I like this kind of stuff... but it'd be cooler if you actually did some video editing instead of just dumping a alternate music track on top of a video. Not that it isn't enjoyable, but maybe pick up some editing software and get creative with it.
Ah, this is where you miss the point of what i wanted to do.
My whole concept was to capture patterns in the spontainiusly of two different things, rather than adapting them to fit each other like you do. Im not slating you in any way, :) i like your idea, but just remember mines different.
no i mean... i get it. It's why people play Dark Side of the Moon over "Wizard of Oz". It sometimes has fun results. Look up "WALK IT OUT FOSSE!!" on youtube. There are a ton of videos with that concept.
What I mean to say is... the wonderful thing about these type of videos is when the musicality matches the imagery. When it naturally matches well (certain parts of the Pink Floyd/Wizard of Oz video... or the "Walk it out Fosse" video) it's amazing. But another route is to use editing to take images and audio to make a rather surreal result, but with consistent synching. I actually love your choice of music for this video, but I think it'd be more impressive if it matched up.
... I watch this video and I can imagine the chimneys popping to the music, the dancing flowing with the beats, the foot tapping to the chimes... and I think it has the potential to be totally brilliant. But leaving it to chance it's tough to get a flow into it.
@DrFunkenstein666 I would like to see nedyken's version of this now it's been a whole year since he had those ideas. I like the way this worked without editing, but would like to see nedyken put a video where his mouth is.
@DrFunkenstein666 dude this ONLY works if they are both the same BPM (beats per minute). and so that puts everything you've said and makes all the other "encouraging" comments completely inaccurate. sorry, but this is a total fail. too bad too, cuz i actually hoped it really would match.
@DrFunkenstein666 Excellent answer. I'm a fan of finding the patterns that naturally develop as well. I understand completely where you're coming from. Not that the OP didn't have a point that this video could have been AMAZING if edited, but leave that to the "editing gurus" like faggotron out there. You saw something cool and captured it! KUDOS YOU!
