  • if only capcom did a better job in translating the original bof2. -_-'

truth be told, i beated the game dozens of times as a kid and i never understood the story. then after 4 years when the we finally had internet i came across a decent game script of what bof2 was really about and i was surprised that it had a very deep story.

i wish they made a decent remake of all bof titles.

  • Wait, what system is this?

  • I guess the english translation of this game is pretty much discontinued?

  • @KimX1 it's on the internet, just go look for it. =D

  • @ShinrinCole The problem with the English translation version is that the amazing song in the version you have here was taken out and replaced with a shitty rock song.

  • Hey look, they called her RINPOO. I guess that makes the Germans weaboos ^rolls eyes

  • rinpod........blue is a secret character

  • glorken smorken des vorten es orton ves norce con uberseter de WAMAL

  • The music for this is by Mio Watanabe. The song is Owarani Ai also known as Unending Love.

  • Sweet intro and music. BoF2 is a superb game, one of the better RPG's on the SNES in my opinion.

  • its nice to see people still playing this game, it was so under rated, but i loved playing it more than FF3.

  • The English version is released finally!

  • fucking masterpiece

  • I cant understand why Youtube deleted Owarani Ai video (The complete opening song) X_X

  • Strangely enough (and this might just be anticipation talking), without being able to understand much of anything, the German version actually plays more smoothly than the original SNES version.

  • That's an awesome song. Anyone know where you can download it?

I hope the English re-translation for BOFII comes soon. I can't believe they completely left the jaw-droppingly awful translation alone for the GBA port. The game had such a great story, but the translation utterly killed it.

  • To my knowledge, the main coder of the English translation went MIA, but may still be around. The other team members are trying to get their hands on him to finish the English project. The last OFFICIAL update was from like... 2006.

Darn it, I love that song. They sped it up for this intro though... also, is this an SNES or a GBA-version patch? Huh.

  • do you know the name of the song? i like it too... :P

  • the name of the song is Owaranai Ai from Mio Watanabe

  • I wish I could find the English version of this on Youtube.

  • wow the theme song is very haunting..I like it. ^^ I remember playing this game as well. Kinda makes you want to buy an old game system and hunt for them. ^^

  • I remember seeing pictures of this while it was a WIP. The fonts and menus/text boxes looked nice.

  • I still wish I knew how he created his own sound library and imported all this. This is just purely amazing.

  • Correct character names for this game:

    Ryu Bateson

    Boche Doggy

    Land Marks

    Lin Pu Chuan

    Nina Windia

    Sten Legacy

Tapeta (need to find Japanese version of his introduction)

    Aspara Gus

    Deece

  • Yea, but if you got Bleu in 2nd, the last boss will Mention her as well^^ even tho you wont see her._.

  • This is awesome and I'd love to play this once they finish translating it into English. I've really liked BoFII ever since it first came out on the SNES over 10 years ago.

  • its not blue its "BLeu" XP

  • What is the name of that song?

  • Owaranai Ai, promotional theme used for the comercials in Japan way back in 1995.

  • Bleu is a playable character in Breath of Fire 1, but a hidden character in the 2nd, Bleu is a Sorcer that Sealed Tyr thousands of years ago, and later on in the 3th you'll know that Tyr(called Mira there) is her sister

  • I've heard that song for another game before.

  • You forgot to show the secret character of Blue the witch

  • This isn't something i made, i just made a video of it. and there is a reason he didn't show her.

  • Simple reason actually, she's a HIDDEN character, you don't have to have her to progress the story line and beat the game. That's the reason Blue's not in it

  • @marcocarabin Bleu is a hidden character, So she is a secret person, Thats why, Its suppose to be like only few people know where she is

  • A recent comment on the BoF2 retranslation proyect blog confirms a future english patch :D

  • curious.. when will a english patch be released?
