  • I LOVE Amtrak trains! Long live Amtrak!

  • i subed can u subscribe to me great video!!

  • 高速鉄道美国, 21st century????

  • Hail from Russia!

Do you have in the USA any tracing computer systems to determine locomotives', cars' or containers' location?

  • Is the MBTA route form worcester union to south station usually have double stacks or singles?

  • Is the CSX train a GE U-series train commonly found in developing countries?

  • Why does the train have its headlights on in the day? Stupid. Waste of electricity.

  • @Trolleymoose They are on to make sure people know the train is there. (seems like you would notice a huge hunk of metal blasting its horn anyway)

  • Track at the station looks pretty bad. Is that why they come into the stop so slow?

  • Zoltan Bebto from Hungary,Europe.

  • where was the high speed train ?

  • where was the high speed train ?

  • thats ironic a train carrying the vechicles used to work on the track it runs on

  • To see some beautifully-maintained stock and a nice clean ROW, search on "trains Japan".

  • wheres this at? I would like to visit

  • why do amtrak trains have such slow approaches???

  • I love the bells!

  • 132132146547897

  • brett

  • thats why people get hit by trains, you can't hear them coming.

  • 2 engines for 4 cars?

  • Usually it's one engine for 5 or 6 cars. I guess Amtrak was rotating another engine from the Boston area to elsewhere.

  • p42's have ditchlights right duh of corse they do so why not use them?

  • Well the current world record for a Diesel Train is recorded at 147.88 MPH set by the British Class 43 (HST 125) but to be honest does it really matter if the train can max out at over 200? I mean the line limit that these Diesel trains usually run on are between 110 and 125 MPH so if they replaced it with an electric one it would cost more and be just as fast. Also all Diesel trains routes are often cheeper to run (No power lines needed so no need to close the line to build/maintain them).

  • and people say electric trains are cleaner but where does the power come from

  • @AshHill07 but diesels pollute much more than electrics

  • @AshHill07 who cares

  • @AshHill07 who gives a fuck

  • @AshHill07 You mispelled cheaper, silly!

  • @AshHill07 But they use fossil fuels. However, Diesel engines are more fuel efficient.

  • one question, diesel trains go slower than ice 3 electric trains because of weight, right? i mean, could a diesel locomotive go at 200mph?

  • Yes and No. There are some diesel locomotives in Europe that can hit 150mph . The biggest restriction is the actual diesel engine. It takes a lot of energy to move 80 ton locomotive. As you may know, diesel cars are usually (if not all the time) slower then their gas "brothers".

  • CSXT GP39, MBTA F40PH-2C and Amtrak P42DC. Great video!

  • I like the website amtrakvideos a lot

  • Wow awesome video! I absolutely hate those horrid looking slates on the F40's windows that MBTA loves to run. And what's up with the Lake Shore Limited? Two P42's for a consist of 3 Amfleets and a Budd baggage?

  • Double engines have become more and more common, for a reason i'm not sure. all of the amtrak lines that run through orlando utilize two engines with the consist that used to be seen with only one engine.

  • It would kinda make sense if they were doubled headed at both ends of the train, but it doesn't make any sense to have the lash-up pointed in the same direction at the head of the train!

  • but that's the problem, they're both facing the same direction being used in tandem i suppose.

  • could have been a power unit failure, or to save cost on a light engine movement, to have the engine towed dead as part of the train, that way CSX only charge Amtrak for one train movement instead of two as Amtrak borrow the lines owned by freight companies, they dont actually own any track.

  • This makes me hard

  • EXCELENTE

    GUSTAVO

    ARGENTINA

  • Hmm....interesting video. Do you think that the Amtrak is a BIT overpowered? 2 engines? 4 cars?

  • It's the Lake Shore Limited... the train becomes much longer after Albany (8-10 additional cars from the New York segment) with these engines. Though in 2007 I thought 448/449 were a shuttle train with one engine...

  • Oh. ok

  • Oh. ok. i didnt know that.

  • How would you know what that little knob down your pants is called? Oh by the way, your mom told me.

  • It's a winky

  • haha not really.. they remind me of cops..dont like them too much..they always bust me for dirtbiking on the roads..XD lol

  • yeeeea canada! lol bombardier makes the best shit. love their ATV's too.

  • Haha, I had to walk across the railroad to get back to my friends house.

  • at 5:09 is that a paintball stain?

  • looks too big to be from a paintball..its half the size of the window beside it..lol probly spraypaint or something.

  • 2 engines for the lake shore limited?

  • 3 cars for the lake shore limited?

  • yes, it's the lake shore limited, he says so

  • I LOVE WORCESTER

  • these trains look very unsafe and weary to me...

  • i know what you mean but they are actually really safe..there are some that look like this that go by my house at about 60mph..thats fast for a freight. check out my videos to see for yourself.. lol

  • @SUIreduit youre unsafe bitch

  • the only line for the mbta i go on is middlebouro/lakeville line i have been on the worcester line to get to fenway

  • Whoa. Awesome job.

  • kool vid

  • Where does the Lake Shore Limited remove the sleeping cars?

  • New York

  • HOw many trains per day?

  • does the amtrak train at 3:03 really need to engines :) lol

  • Does the Lake Shore Limited add on the sleepers on at Springfield or Albany?

  • They add them on in Chicago

  • wow csx doing maintnance marked that on the calendar

  • I say a 12 car work train...I know it was the whole fleet...this weekend...

  • why do the MBTA trains have like bars on the front windows

  • Debris. New England weather is crazy, so it's not fun to have icicles crashing into you when going like 70mph.

  • ohh ya never thought of that thanks

  • tis fun, don't say it aint

  • Also.. this is the inner city areas too. Don't need broken windows.

  • Hey Furryfurball, yes its an F40 as mentioned(modified version). Most of these kind are Cab control units only. Nice to still a loco though instead of coach/cab.

  • Still can see many of real F40s on the west coast. Metrolink owns a few, Coaster owns a bit, and Caltrain owns about 20 of them.

  • is the mbta loco a F40...if so, is it ex-amtrak?

  • yes it's an F40. and no it's not ex Amtrak. but anyways. nice video. I've been through Worcester many times.

  • the amtrak conductors are very helpful and sometimes very talkitive

  • The conductors on the Nport/Rport Line are real assholes. =\

  • Did the conductor ask you what you were doing?

I know that guy, he can be a pain in the ass.

  • No, he didn't say a thing. I asked the station agent before and he didn't care if I was there.

  • What was that conductor doing there anyway? Wasn't there already a conductor on the train?

  • hahaha, ive seen the conductor that you see at 2:27, he's been on the Providence line.
