In this video I'm using some vintage (I believe 70's era) Zildjian cymbals for the hi hat, ride and two crashes. The two splashes are newer zildjians, a wuhan china and a zildjian china. I recently upgraded all the old zildjians to new Custom A's.

I experimented a little with trying to get a good blend of audio and drums. In this vid i have the camera relatively high on a stand, zoomed in to get this shot and hit record. I kept the camera high above the speakers playing the audio and it seemed to capture my drum sound pretty good without distortion from being too close to the drums or the audio from the speakers. Hope that helps. Good luck.
