  • RIP john.

what ever happened to his logun axsor?

  • excellent clip from an excellent man. RIP JD

  • Dogs! its a waste, make stew with it then no waste.

  • i so need somewhere to shoot rabbit, if its land owned by the council do you need permission?

  • @Podaliny don't shoot anywhere that you don't own! even if you go there to just have a look around , it'll still count as tresspass. and if you have you gun with you , it will come under armed tresspass - a fine of £1,000. i've been hunting for a number of years and have built up a number of contacts with land. so as a starting point head on yellow pages looking for farmers in your area , of just head round to the nearest farms asking. and as for the council , stick to farms- much safer

  • man! John's face looks like green!! LOL

  • He kills 'bunnies'. Haw. Excellent.

  • I actually shoot hunters. I shoot them in the arm, shoulder, sometimes flanks if they are standing. I posted a video of a particularly funny time I shot a hunter in the thigh, I had covered myself in bush and paint by a known grazing area and waited there for hours for a hunt group to come by. Then I got him and holy crap how he wailed and wailed! Youtube took it down, but it was awesome retribution. Look out hunters, there are more like me out there.

  • @dudewheresmyducati just lucky you havnt got your head blow off yet dope

  • @dudewheresmyducati I've heard that before, try soemwhere else dickhead

  • @dudewheresmyducati Its arseholes like you who give the shooting sports a bad name. There are several good reasons to hunt rabbit. They multiply at an alarming rate and they cause no end of damage to crops. Last year, over £100 million of damage was caused by Rabbits alone. And what you call retribution is just you acting like an irresponsible twat. You shouldn't be let near a gun of any kind. Cunt.

  • @Keith10284 It`s estimated that rabbits cause £400 million worth of crop damage every year , so the more we can put in pies and stews the better

  • @gunner17722 Oh right, it said on a hunting website I was on that it was only £100m I stand corrected. And I totally agree with what you say, I've never personally eaten Rabbit, but I'd like to! I've heard it's quite nice.

  • @Keith10284 I did`nt mean to be picky but just wanted to back up your comment , and Rabbit stew is lovely Btw

  • @smileymat123

The Theoben Evolution is a good nitrogen gas ram rifle, it's got a good weight, quite easy to cock, usually threaded with a good silencer, and I think it's around £380 or something..

  • Sorry to hear of John passing away. He was a great inspiration to airgunners and I had the pleasure of having a few pints with him at the countryside march in 1999. Moved on from air rifles but the principles still apply although at much much longer ranges. He is missed.

  • one of the nicest most helpfull guys i have ever meet, i learnt more from this guy's books and videos than anyone else. the way he comes over on the videos with a great sence of knowledge that he imparts.

also there is no mucking about with stupid ideas, just straight information.

    rip john and thanks

  • its an old sherlock holmes

  • Yes - I think so.

  • R.I.P John Darling :'(

  • Anybody reccomend the crosman ratcatcher or any other rifles for general quarry hunting and control? Also say it's price :D cheers

  • i would of skinned it first then gutted it,...

  • since you found those good trailes you should have put up snares there

  • i think every one who watched one of his videos lernt some thing and R.I.P.

  • I wonder if he suffered the same humiliation after his death. Must be Karma that he copped it good and early.

  • @Chrisser1976 What do you mean by 'humiliation'? How can you humiliate a rabbit?

  • @Chrisser1976 wow you are an asshole. how does a rabbit feel humiliation? something people dont understand is that if this rabbit was raised as a meat rabbit to go to the store or resturant it would suffer way worse than he got here in the video.

  • @OregonBackpacker Of course they understand - it's a topic that has been greatly publicised. Intense farming is a terrible thing and I always try to buy rifle shot food wherever I can - I just don''t video the death and put it on the internet. The humiliation comes from not treating animals with respect. I think Darling showed poor judgment here - just my opinion. If you follow his writing career from the early days of the 'Airgunner' articles you see it more and more.

  • @Chrisser1976 well i get your point. but someone has to show others how to do it. But he is treating the animal with respect in my opinion. I mean he is going to use this animal, he isnt throwing it around, to me he is being respetfull but thats just me.

  • @OregonBackpacker Yeah that's a good point - those are skills that need to be passed down. The other thing is that when he made those videos there was no such thing as the internet so I shouldn't really have a go at him for that.

  • R.I.P John. i think all airgunners should make a memorial to this great man, an ambassador for airgun hunting and country sports.

  • legend

  • john do you still fish for bass best wishes from gower peninsular

  • @labrax100 JD has sadly passed away

  • @gunner17722 thats very sad, how old was he?

  • @gunner17722 noooooooo john was alegend

  • @gunner17722 that was a big fucking let down -.- i've been watching him for like an hour now really got to like the guy and then he dies...

  • From the start, I was listening to some of my dearest grandma's old tales, but suddenly the story changed and it was another one.

  • He has some skill

  • thanks for the post legend got some use full tips off here

  • Brilliant, much respect to this guy, exactly how it should be done. better than some arsehole randomly shooting small animals.

    Cheers for posting. :D
