Hmm... Couldn't really understand what makes this good to listen too. Oh well people have their likes and dislikes. I'll stick to my dark and heavy Dubstep. c:
I searched in my CD collection to see if there were any CDs that I didn't need anymore. I found a audiobook, with no case. I then went to my bathroom, and then made a bowl of water. I added very minty toothpaste and shampoo to the bowl. I then stired it around, and dipped the CD in, fully. I then dried the CD, and got some tissue paper, and wraped the CD in it. I left it for two weeks, until I slided off the tissue paper. I played the CD. Voµla.
Nice work. I've tried doing this several times but I always just get unreadable discs too. I tried using scotch tape like Tone, scratching them, etc etc etc and nothing. Oh well. Maybe one day I'll come across a accommodating CD player!
@littlegreenjason Modern CD players have an error-correction function, which means heavily damaged discs register as unreadable. I use a 17 year old mini hi-fi system, but I have managed to get a PC running XP to rip scratched discs. My advice make a couple of small marks with a felt tip pen first. See if that works and then add more marks.
@pinklikethepanther I'm glad you liked the video. I had two jpeg pictures of white horizontal bars on black backgrounds. I then superimposed one image over the other and then used the video effects packaged with trakAxPC to give the illusion of movement.
@W4RW017 I used a felt tip pen and a marker pen. I used a 16 year old stereo to play the CD. More modern CD players and computers won't always play damaged discs.
Very cool. Nice thing about glitch is its inherently able to be made at home with only a little work. This actually sounds very cool to boot. Might want to go pro as it sounds like it is.

Time to find all my scratched cd's I knew I was keeping for a reason
...nice track and animation, this sound could be cleaned up though but I know it served a purpose having it sounding a tad bit annoying. Cheers.

glitch -vs- breakcore: do ppl care if someone calls breakcore glitch? i'm thinking of making glitch music but don't wanna be labeled as breakcore
DevasionRecords 2 years ago
@DevasionRecords Don't worry about what people label you as. Make music that moves you.
blaqsparrow 1 year ago 20
@DevasionRecords
Breakcore has a very distinct sound, whereof glitch is only a part of it. Its not only the glitch.
