Easiest way is to remove the wiper blade assembly to get to the back headers easier, also have to tak out the radiator and fans, then its just unbolt old and bolt in the new. Depending on sskill anywhere from 12-16 hours so its a project but gains are great...

@chauboii nothing really. My gas miliage has been great. Even though i havent gotten a tune and its runnign really rich i still managed 28-31mpg on a 4 hours drive the other say, highway miles, which is a lot better then stock...

how did you know how to install everything? just ripped the car apart? it took me almost 7 hours just to get the sub woofer power cable from the battery to the inside of the car, i couldn't for the life of me get to the firewall, and get the cable through on top of that, they don't give you much space in that car =/

They have the same engine I believe, but the 350Z seems like it would be lighter due to it's a 2 door instead of a 4 door.
more importantly, how would an SE-R do against an Evo VIII or X? assuming both were stock.

It depends. As far as a 350Z goes they are only about 150lbs lighter, they are heavy for a coupe, but are rated for more hp/tq. Stock with a 6spd you can get an SE-R to run 14.2's but with a auto its more like 14.5's.
I've beat a couple 350Z's in my SE-R, never raced any stock evo's but I've beat 2 stock sti's. With a tune I could be in the mid 13's though (13.9 now) and say with a 75 wet shot 13.3's or so. I've heard of people getting there's into 12.9 which is impressive imo...
No mine isnt tuned, need one bad. My car is an auto to, but if you go to streetfire and search for code-red altima mine shoulw pop up with a few vids to show you its 0-100 and such...

As for the lightning i can beat him from a roll and beat him on the highway but ben (camera guy) wont post the vids lol...

My car really doesnt burn hardly any oil, I have a nasty smell coming from mine but thats because I have no cats and an exhaust leak. If you havent done your a/t fluid in the last 30k that could be it...
I think the Charger does it, but I don't think it's quite so...."picky" about it. I know it does the auto shifts, but I think you have more control over when it shifts, don't really remember, it's been awhile since I drove a Charger.
umm, when you get an oil change, do they change or check the a/t fluid? if not, then it probably hasn't been don't in 72k miles. which I don;t think is the case, because there probably wouldn't be any left, and the burning smell would be a lot worse.
lol Yeah exactly I was just about to say that. I was trying to go to 180 in 3rd and it shifted me out at 160 cuz I forgot to hold the shifter back. Fawk hahaha.

mine sounded identical....except on mine i had a electronic cutout....soooo i cud have it completly quiet and stock.....and when i wanted to be haerd.....open that bad boy up in 3 seconds....and it roared
traction isnt bad. As I've said on other videos I have 245/45-15 BFG g-force T/A KDW tires and they grip hard. And I have the complete Nismo suspension to. Gas is went down 1.2-2 mpg until I get a reflash to help with the A/F ration which is off.

Oh didnt really say but I think that the kinetix intake manifold is necessary. Ok in my well researched opinion your mods should be... Nismo of Fujita cold air intake, Kinetix intake manifold, a custom made downpipe, any cat-back exhaust will do but I like Nismo or MP, pulleys arent necessary but if you want just go for the stock diameter light weight aluminum kind, JWT or Nismo cams, then a Technosquare re-flash. That will cost you about $4,050 if you do all the work your self.
The benefit though would be better gas mileiage and the fastest N/A 4-door V6 on your block. Expect arround 270-280 whp and 255-265 wtq. Could be more but close to those numbers.

mine runs really rich in third and bogs a lil till I hit 7k rpms then it pulls again. Once i get a tune though ill be hitting 13.7s all night...
