  • This video completely rings true. Ive lost two guinea pigs due to improper breeding. The one was a diabetic, and the other one we are unsure what he passed from. The only vet that knows about guinea pigs is on matteranty leave. I saw an unknowledgeable vet, and a week later with no improvement in my guinea pigs condition he had to be put down. Please if you get an exotic pet give it the complete care it needs, and see a proper vet!

  • @cutesyxgirl911 I surely appreciate your comment ...thank you

    My best

    Jamie

  • @MrWazzupgirl Omg did you listen:/

  • what if you mix boy with boy is it fine?

  • @MrWazzupgirl yes! you just have to learn how to do THAT. Sometimes it doesnt work

no matter how many techniques you use. Just like some people dont get along its always possible that chinnies wont. You always have to be ready for 2 cages and 2 playtimes

  • I'm a teen, I go to school, my mom and dad work all day but I really want a Chinchilla! I've studied them so much but my parents r still iffy about getting me one. After watching this I sorta am too :'D

I was wondering, because I have school and my parents work all day most of the week, would it be a good idea to get a chinchilla? Do they need attention 24/7 or what?

Thanks for making these videos btw, they sure help in my studies with Chinchillas! C:

  • @KKOOCCAATT I dont feel a chinchilla is a good pet for people under 18 or even 21

You will eventually have a job, or college, or move , or get married, and the chinchilla who lives 20 years of more (with lots of great care and luck) is always the one to suffer.

Take a look at Craiglist, or petfinder and you will see 10's of thousands of chinchillas up for rehoming by people who didnt know that chinnies are such a huge huge responsibility. I appreciate that YOU CARE about them

  • @jglaser333

I understand, maybe now I'll stop pestering my parents about it. :'D

I really want one, I might get one once I'm settled in college and stuff!

    Thanks for the help c:

YES. I REALLY DO CARE FOR THEM.

    I LOVE CHINNIES <3

  • @KKOOCCAATT great,...that shows real respect for them..THANK YOU

  • 2 years ago my chinchilla got its middle toe stuck in between the grating and the cage and it broke its toe and we went to the vet and they gave him some medicine and his face was priceless he had a face like eeeewwww and he let it rip out of his mouth. he is better now luckily

  • @XXFancyPantsJrXX glad to hear all is well. One of the reasons I always suggest no wire bottoms (not your case) and no wheels with holes, and no ramps is cause these guys break their legs , toes etc really easily

  • @jglaser333 yeah i hard some chinchillas break their leg from those wired wheels. id hate to see my chinchillas hurt :(

  • @XXFancyPantsJrXX a wheel is so important and the good ones like the one I recommend is a ONE time investment. Wheels with holes in it are dangerous and plastic wheels are as well. Thank you

  • my chinchilla runs on the wheel at night, i am the only one who doesn't hear the noise xD

  • @WangYue1995 you know Ive had chinnies for 13 years... when I go away to a hotel I have trouble sleeping cause I dont hear the wheel all night. You can get used to anything !! thanks for writing

  • Your compassion for these precious creatures is truly touching. 'Chin-children', I would call them!

  • @jamesedwardtheobald thanks Jimmy!

  • Im sorry, did you say 20 years or more?...I thought it was about 10 :o Hehe Taken super notes over here on your videos! Getting ready for my new baby chinchila :] I looked up malocclusion, scary stuff! Hopefully I can help my chinchilla avoid it :[!

  • @AnthonyLikes2Comment yes Ive known chinchillas 25 and 26 years old

  • 3:35 i remember this is LWOC ^_^

  • @PapayaSnapple lwoc was a cool forum for me , still a member but I have my own forum now LUCKYS PLACE

  • im sorry if this offends you at all but, you really are making everything seem expensive in this, i personally built my chinchilla cage and make sure its safe for them, its about 6 and a half feet so they have plenty of room and the food is fairly expensive but not very much, the bedding is not too expensive and it isnt that hard to clean there cage, now i do have a wheel that is slightly smaller than it should be, it is costly for a wheel, but i plan on either making one or saving money for one

  • @ICYTHROWER you dont offend me..Bravo for caring enough to build a proper cage

with good out time..or a 15 inch chinspin, surf wheel , or saucer ,,,you should be good to go

I deal with 10's of thousands of people who can only afford little crap cages, the chinchilla ends up in a rescue

the point is ..a chinchilla needs care... thats all ..

    thanks

    Jamie

  • @jglaser333 okay and too all of you that do have or want chinchillas, DO NOT get a little cage. listen to what he says, chinchillas are almost always going to the bathroom, if there in a little cage this can build up and lead to health problems, please i beg you not to get a tiny cage. and thank you for responding to my comment i love feedback

  • @ICYTHROWER I appreciate you...thanks

  • I guess im not ready :( i wanted to have one so bad.... 7 hours at school during the day is ok right since they are nocturnal right? And it isnt good to feed them sugar or anything thatll keep them up during the morning? Though im willing to devote my summer for a male chinchilla..

  • @SharSharWuzHer glad to hear you realize that

there there is no way "to keep them up"

and though you could devote your summer...

it wouldnt be right for a chinchilla living 20 years or more to not have your attention year round

  • not to be mean/disrespectful or anything, but I wanted you to know that you have convinced me out of getting a chinchilla. you make it seem like by purchasing a chinchilla, your life is over and you must devote your whole life to this thing. let me tell you, I've had a dog for 7 years now, and I don't give it the recommended exercise, or always brush her coat. but I give her so much love and she's so happy where she is. I was ready to take care of a chinchilla, but now I feel that I'll never be

  • @FRANCO151100 I am so proud of you

it is difficult and expensive.. and to do it right its nothing like having a dog or any other pet

if you saw the 1000's of letters I get you'd flip out at so many people who give up their animals, have chinnies die and all the rest. Say hi to your dog! and thanks for writing

  • man if only chinchillas could talk like that..

  • @crimses thats really funny,.,.,thanks for the comment

  • @jglaser333 i mean like in the beggining you were talking to tiki (sorry for your loss :( R.I.P) but you had a conversation with him and i thought it would be awesome if chins could talk like that

  • @crimses they do in fact "talk" ...after 12 or more years I can tell you what they're saying

    chinchillas are pretty expressive

yes I know what you mean ... and thanks for writing

  • @jglaser333 hey no problem

  • How often should you go to the vet for a chinchilla?

  • @69FXx I go every 6 months

  • @jglaser333 Thank you , im sure you helped alot of people and me! TY

  • @69FXx thank you very much

  • My male chinchill is very sweet and lets me hold him but when ever i go under him to pick him up and take him out of his cage he bites me, i've been looking every where but i can't find how to properly pick him up any where! do you know how to properly pick up an male chinchilla, if you do pleas tell me

  • @Lauren54066 yes ...like a puppy support the back and hold gently against your body

keep your left hand (if you are right handed) in a position to make sure they dont jump out of your hand

do not chase, yell or grab by the tail

  • What do you do with your chinchillas when you go away on a trip or a while

  • @TheHeNrY4422 I have 2 dogs , 5 birds, 2 guinea pigs, a rabbit and 3 chinchillas ....I hire a pet sitter for 40 dollars a day

  • outch, i wish me and mucki can do such things.

  • @simsons51racer it takes a lot of patience and hours each day for this kind of trust

  • @jglaser333 since I've seen the video tiki sings, I want to build my mucki such an trust on i now thats hard but i must do it for my one and all

  • @simsons51racer great,..well remember in a video I can EDIT..Tiki jumped around just like all chinchillas

I knew when he would be mellow, or tired or relaxed

he was a great chinnie Im sure Mucki is too

  • @jglaser333 thanks, that was very nice

  • man thank you for telling me about the price. I'll be sure I save up.

  • @17jcandler very welcome

  • @jglaser333 i own 4 chins myself but i dont have a wheel but i have made mutiple levels with planks where they jump around in is that enough exercise?

  • @klootbal please give one to two hours OUTSIDE of the cage in a chin proof room

no shelves are not enough exercise

    thank you

  • im gonna try to save up money and buy all the supplies and get ready for a chinchilla before getting one but i really want a companion cus i just lost my dog a couple days ago :(

  • @thestreakingninja Gosh Im sorry to hear about your dog!! You know chinchillas dont hang out with you like dogs..they are very independent. Good luck

  • @jglaser333 thank you... and yeah, im quite excited to put time into taking care of them; also, i really like independent animals :)

  • @thestreakingninja FANTASTIC!!

  • @CMcNamaraNYC I have a chin-proofed room...

all wires covered etc...they are out 4-6 hours a day..every day

    it used to be more

but I have 3 chinchillas and 2 of them cant be with the 3rd so they get separate play-times

    good luck

please join my free forum Luckys Place luckysplace(dot)net you will learn much there

    my best

  • my mom had a pet groundhog and her grandma put its cage out in the sun, it roasted to death, i have 2 mice, but iv probably had about 15 alltogether, plus 2 cats

  • @xcypressriverx youch..remember chinchillas cant sweat ..if you have a chinchilla YOU MUST HAVE AIR CONDITIONING

  • iv read that chins arn't very social, so what kind of activities can u do with ur chin?

  • @xcypressriverx you can watch them, let them crawl on you, talk to them, love them

  • @jglaser333 do yours love you too? thats what i do with my mice ^^

  • @xcypressriverx they sure do..thanks for coming by

  • I take care of pigs and all those animals but the pig is at a friends house and im in 4-h ive been reserching over three years now i think im ready but im earning money rite now. P.S I mostly watch your vids :D

  • @gurglefiction great

  • How much am i meant to feed it ?

  • @GlitterandGrease1 you must ALWAYS have fresh hay and fresh bottled /filtered water

Pellets about 1/4 cup per day

  • Hello! I was wondering if we could put breakaway cat collars on our chinchillas? I'm not planning on taking her outside or on a leash or anything. I'd use it only for when she comes out of her cage for the bell thats on it. They undo very easily if caught. Would this be safe or not? I do not want to harm my chinny in any way so please let me know! :)

  • @RacheeROFL PLEASE DO NOT USE HARNESSES OR COLLARS ON CHINCHILLAS

    and positively NO LEASHES

More chinchillas die from this stuff than you would imagine

thanks for asking this question...its important

    please no collars

  • can i take a chin out side at night

  • @starlovegirl24 chinchillas should not be brought outside ,,

  • i love chin alot.. and i dont have problem with money time and everything that chin's needs.. except for the exotic vet.. i cant find any vet in my place that can be trusted to treat chin..to be honest i dont trust vet at my place..coz i have a history where i bought my sugar glider to vet because he sneezing... then after i bring my joey back home few hours after that he died..

  • @noumoaries20 you would be surprised how many times a vet is needed.. its unfortunate when a good exotics vet is not nearby

    thanks for your comment

  • my chinchilla won't take a dust bath. She is 2 months old and she climbs into her bath house but will not roll around in it she kind of sniffs it and comes right out again. Does anyone have any tips?

  • @TheDancer424 some are happy just to walk in it

clean the dust bath ..(before you put the dust in) 1 part white vinegar to water

    dry it and try again

there could be lots of reasons,,,,moslty simple

like the location of your bath

he might not feel comfortable to roll around,, if theres noise and other distractions

    J

  • i have a question do they really need a vet? because i really want one and i have brothers who can spend time with it and everything and i can spend a whole week with it , i have all the time in the worlds it just do they really need a vet?

  • @sourXpatchXkids1 I spent 1000 dollars on vets for my 3 last year

emergencies happen.. and these werent emergencies

YESSSSSS if you dont have an exotics vet or emergency vet and money always around please dont get a chinnie...thanks

  • @jglaser333 thank you.

  • if someone was under 18 and they knew that they would have the time love and money for a chinchilla. would it be okay?

  • @meconbon Ill be honest with you..I had people tell me when I was 7 I was too young to take care of a dog

my dad made me promise he wouldnt get stuck with cleaning poopies, walking the dogs, bathing, playing, and even paying for vets,,, (though he did pay for all the vets) I was a a great dog guardian..and took him to college and beyond

    I was committed to it

if you think you can be responsible to a chinnie for 20 years or more than SURE ...go ahead

    thanks

  • @BannanadogProduction the best age for you to get a chinchilla is AFTER you are 18 I dont believe a chinchilla is a good pet for people under 18 Im sorry I would suggest a hamster, maybe a guinea pig chinchillas can live 20 or more years chinchilla cages cost 100's exotic vets can cost tons unless your parents are ok with spending TONS of money I would go with another animal..and you know I LOVE chinchillas sorry Jamie
  • first of all, great video!

im thinking about getting a chinchilla so i have some questions,

    1. about how much is a dust bath???

    2. how often should a chinchilla get a dust bath?

    3. about how much does a chinnchilla cost a moth (with food, treats, begging, maybe a little toy) ????

    4. so what do you do with them after they roll around in that stufff??

thanks(: please reply and answer all my questions and maybe even give me some more tips on having a chinchilla.

  • @TheWackyvids

i givee my chinchillas baths 2 times a week. you know when they need one or they are stressed out when they start shedding a little bit :]

hope i helped a tiny bit

  • it depends on the humidity... some people do 3 -4 times a week Mine dust every single day where I live its very dry good food is about 16-18 dollars for a month treats should be NOT raisins but good stuff like gogi berries, fresh oat cookies, lots of chew toys ..see luckylogs(dot)com after they dust... (dont have the dust in their cage) get your vacuum out so you can clean all the dust everywhere See you on my forum jamie
  • @TheWackyvids @TheWackyvids thank you

please join my forum Luckys Place luckysplace (dot)net

for all your questions..you can ask as much as you like

a dust bath is around 10 dollars

I use a rubbermaid storage enclosure

  • the begining is so awwwwww =))))) you're video is veeery helpful =))

  • @Bogy14 sure appreciate that

    thank you

    Jamie

    luckysplace-net

  • Is it possible to make a chinchilla cage quiet? Becuase my chinchilla keeps me up

  • @musicmouse95 nope

you can put a pillow behind the cage so the wheel doesnt rattle the wire as much

Ive been awake for 14 years ...LOL

  • I'd so get one if i had the money and time, and if the weather was always nice here(im from canada, and snows and we get hot summers). I'll stick to having my dog ^^ thanks for sharin this with us :3

  • @SakuraAvalonBleac25

    Im proud to know you

    GREAT decison

    chinchillas are a giant responsibility

dogs are very different,,,and the coolest

  • Jamie, I have a question!

How come my chinchin isn't nocturnal anymore! D:

he sleeps during the night and is awake during the day and want to come out and play with me..

i can't figure out how it became like this or if it's good for him to have this sleep-pattern

  • @ineedyaoi chinchillas can be awake in the day sometimes

check to make sure nothing has changed...like more noise , more light..new voices, sounds outside...all that stuff and see if anything is freaking him out

My chinnie Baron gets up early ...,like 4 pm

my 2 others get up around 7 pm

    being awake wont harm him

as long as its not U waking him up .on purpose../..that could bug him eventually

  • @jglaser333 nothing has changed around the house that should keep him awake... i'm at school during the days and my brother is sleeping. but when i get home my chinchin is wide awake and wants to come out and play.

but right he's sick and has diarrhea... which really isn't good!

  • @ineedyaoi diarreah is VERY BAD in chinchillas

get that chinnie to a great exotic vet please

I dont want you to lose him

NO TREATS at all please till his poop is normal

no treat food like charlie chinchilla

    lots of water available

    thanks

    j

  • @jglaser333 it's just... there is no exotic vet anywhere for over 7 hours of drive... but it's over now, i don't feed him treats at all, so it's not the treats that make him bad, we have tried new hay, food and changed the bottle... many times, but we can't seem to figure out what's wrong with him when the diarrhea hits.

  • @ineedyaoi I cant help anymore

    I am a musician ..not a doctor

    and thats what you need

where are you...I can find a doc for you

  • @jglaser333 i live very high up in Sweden, it's very far to any city since i live on a farm.

but i have changed the hay brand and forced my sister not to disturb my chinchin while he's trying to sleep, i may be stressed that caused him to get a bad tummy... but he's okay now again~ so no worried~ thank anyway for your help Jamie~ *hugs*

  • Hello J glaser Can u plz tell me how i do make it bind with me i h ave my chins for a month now and it still doesn't thrust me ive watched all your vids but nothing seems to work plz email me about this issue

    Thanks Greetings, Axel

  • @axeleelman Axel

it can take years to bond. You see they are prey animals

they will always run away. People think cause they are furry and cute that they want to be pet and held..its not true.

You can start by taking them into a small area , the bathroom , and let your chinnie walk on you,, let them MAKE the bond..

have a chew stick , some heathy treats when they come to you

as a compliment, speak softly, never yell, never hit of course etc

    good luck

  • @jglaser333

Thanks for all the tips\, you are truly a honorable man the world needs more helpful people like you ;)

  • @axeleelman my pleasure

    thank YOU

  • Ive been Watching all of your videos and did all of the research my mother and father agreed to get me a chinchilla. Do you think that it will be best if i get a chinchilla or not. Your the only person i have asked since you seem like an awesome expert. i will appreciate if i can get an answer. also i would like to know if i should get one because im 12 but i have guinea pigs that i take very well care of..

  • @ssbunny123

I am glad you did your homework

I love my guinea pigs as well...glad to hear you have them

    Chinchillas arent like GP's ..

they are up all night, need big cages, different kind of attention

and they are not cuddly, and all the rest

    you probably know this already

why dont you write back with all your reasons for wanting one

    Jamie

  • @jglaser333 Well i have about 5 reasons why i want a chinchilla. 1I want to try something new because i haven't had a choice to choose from because my parents always chose for me its been 8 years since we got a pet (I just got my guinea pigs a year ago) so now that i have been given a opportunity to choose my pet I want a chinchilla.2Chinchillas live long and ive heard that they can live up to 20 years.3 because i will be able to watch after it cause i get out of school at 3 so ican watch them

  • @jglaser333 Well i cant fit all my reasons inside this comment box but i can put 4 reasons. 1 I think that Chinchillas can be very social but need lots of care. 2 I know that Chinchillas Can live up to twenty years.3. I saved over 800 dollars since last year to buy things like the vet and food. (My parents are going to buy the Chinchilla).4Ive wanted a Chinchilla for two years and probably every chinchilla help website or info and i know they need care. And i heard Chinchillas can stay up in day

  • @ssbunny123

very cool..sounds like you're doin your homework

    thats great

chinchillas sleep during the day and you cant train them to be awake in the day

    thanks

    jamie

  • @ssbunny123 im 12 too : ]

  • Comment removed

  • @331Guineapiglover

    fantastic

    good luck

  • @331Guineapiglover

    POSITIVELY

I use fleece for my guinea pigs , both chinchilla cages

and in my rabbit cage as well

    YES YES YES

  • @MILK3CoOkIEsXxx

    never heard of that happening

I certainly would remove the spider if I saw one

  • First i must say that you take wonderful care for chinchillas and i was wondering how aproxamitly how much are chinchillas

  • @exzorder thanks

    from 50 dollars to 10,000

  • First off I'd like to say how lucky your chinchillas are to have such a loving and caring owner :) Its excellent how informative you are, people really need to know what they're getting into before looking into owning an exotic pet!

I was wondering if there are different"types"of chinchillas, I see yours are different colours eg grey, white etc.or if the colours were just coincidence?

also, if they're quick? Im just hoping I'll be able to catch one to get it back into its cage after play time!

  • @YerWannn Thank you!

There are many colors and mutations of chinchillas

you can google Colors of chinchillas

yes they are quick and they are prey animals

so they are always ready to run away

there are techniques to catch them

the last thing you want to do is "chase" them

that will make them nervous and not trusting of you

    thanks for your comment

    J

  • I wish pet stores would make it clearer that anyone under 18 should probably not have a chinchilla. I did not know that they live so long, or that they are totally noctural! They are marketed like guinea pigs or rabbits, but their care is much much more difficult. :(

  • @mondotwistedmojo me too

they market chinchillas as cuddly funny furry easy to take care of...

    all which is incorrect

however they are amazing as you know

    thanks

    jamie

  • i got a chinchilla from someone a couple of days ago shes only year and half old but her coat isnt great she has sand baths but its all in clumps like matted what can i do to help her?

  • @alijamesjess

first of all make sure the dust is not "sand"

they make chinchilla sand and it is really bad stuff..try a great dust like Blue cloud, blue sparkle ..even Kaytee is good

give it time..their fur re-generates every 60 days or so

if the chinnie is really matted.. you can slowly de-mat by working out each mat one at a time...be very careful and dont pull up...

in an emergency a Vet can help you

  • i rescude a chinchilla his name is luke and we was not getting any attention but now hes realy happy

  • @Ryanmanguything

well Luke is a very lucky chinchilla

and sounds like you are a grea person

    thanks for loving Luke

  • @jglaser333 thank you

  • Love your video's, we just got a free Chinchilla from a Garage Sale and they did not feed him Chinchilla food, they gave him Hamster food, so we stopped that right away we got him timothy hay and a eatable hut to sleep in and well he just ran around up down up down to check out his new area, he just loves it. We love him already and he was a resue guy too which is real great.

  • @Shelldall

I hear this kind of story over and over. Tiki was being fed candy , and gerbil food and the kids made a game out of chasing him with a baseball bat..claiming he LOVED being chased. Its amazingly sad what goes on

thank you for doing the right thing

    you wont be sorry

    my best

    jamie

  • Ha my chins ate pieces of my wall and my border :/ But I love them so much! I have two males Kirby and Sam also where do you get your wheels that are solid like that? I really want one but I can't find one

  • @tazio998 I replace my baseboards once a year..they are free in my very large bedroom... and I have no basenoards and the wall is chewed YES

that is a CHINSPIN 15 inch and it is the best..get it at qualitycage-com

tell em Jamie (luckys Wonder of chinchillas ) sent ya

  • where is the best place to get blue cloud from that will ship to The U.K

  • @INoMzI

please join LUCKYS WONDER OF CHINCHILLAS ..its free

we have 2100 members...lots from the UK

    they will help you there

    thanks

    jamie

  • OMG, how did u bring him outside without the risks and you just didn't hold him firmly

  • @Thehoagie99

he has been on walks with me for 7 years

    he doesnt dart out

and though it doesnt look like it

    Im holding him firmly

believe me..I would neverf put him or my other animals in jeapordy

    thanks

  • @jglaser333 oooooooo, thats kool-ish. i have two chinchillas. a wilson gray and a standard gray. ive got one from santa, hhaahhaa, and i adopted one from someone that went away to college

  • @Thehoagie99 GREAT!!

  • @jglaser333 as in?

  • @Thehoagie99 as in? Im not sure what you;re asking

    sorry

  • how common is that disease u mentioned?

  • @SuperChimmy

    its unfortunately quite common

  • how long did it take you for them to trust you and let you hold them. i have been workin with my chinne everyday he still wont let me hold him.

  • @chinchillalover989 you have to remember sometimes the videos I make can take 10 hours or more

I never push the chinnies to perform or to be held

Ive made some of the vids when they first wake up

they are as much chinnies as anyones

It can take YEARS,,every day to get them to wanna be touched and held

make an effort to let them run to you, on you

instead of you making the move

  • aw i really want one but after your videos i dont think i'm quite ready yet =( but they are really really cute!!! X) thanks for all the info!!!! =D

  • @eddycakebatter thank you more

its great that you dont feel "you're ready" ...cause the more you learn .the better for both of you

    I respect you alot

    Jamie

  • i dont have to worry an=bout my chinchilla when i go to college because im going to a college 25 minutes away :)

  • @ChinchillaSniper

    thats good news

  • Hi, I would like to know why does my chinchilla scream?? IT sounds weird...

  • @spiritolemon

    they can be very verbal

they can "bark" when they are upset, or need attention

they can also make loud noises when the environment is not to their liking

other animals, loud music ...stuff like that

  • i have a question how do i get my chin jerry to use his wheel?

  • they will figure it out if its a comfortable wheel

if they like their dust ...you can sprinkle a little

or even put a treat in the wheel

  • Your videos are very helpful :) How much would you say the monthly cost of owning a chinchilla is?

  • @MahoganyMarmalade

    good question

after the initial costs and hopefully no vet bills

you will need to have chew sticks, dust, fresh hay and pellets

    I would say 40 to 100 dollars a month

it really depends on what kind of life you want to give them

  • 0:14 wow! your chinnie is very calm!

mine is rather more active and prefers to sit on my shoulder or head, haha that's cute :)

best wishes for you and your pets!

    paja

  • thanks Paja

    I appreciate you coming by

    jamie

  • Your a very good chinchilla owner :]

  • thank you very much

  • hihi i have a problem: My little guys makes a hell of a lot of noise at night. Do u think its cruel to move his cage down the hall into the bathroom for the evening (i wud take him out as soon as i brush my teeth in mornin) the bathrooms cool and all. Is it cruel to leave him in there with a nightlight and a white noise maker???

  • if you do

make sure the toilet is closed

that there are no soaps, lotions, shampoos etc that they can reach

Most importantly you need to play with your chinnie for at least an our, in the bathroom or wherever

    my chinnies make noise too

I wear ear plugs at night

  • thank you.

  • I have REALLY wanted a Chinchilla since I was 9, and now I'm 14. I'm not allowed to get one, but I know like EVERYTHING about them. Any ideas on how to convince my parents?

  • sorry...if you've watched all my videos you know I dont reccommend a chinnie for people under 18 or more

they are really expensive to take crae of , need lots aof attention and live 20 years or more,...as you know

    good luck

  • Well yeah, but I know EXACTLY how to take care of one. And I am home ALL day. I'm not one of those people who get bored of their pets. I'm an animal person :P... Plus, I have money.

  • okie dokie

    keep up the good work,,

    my best

    jamie

  • Butt i still love this video

  • You said in part 3,that you can't go outside with a chinchilla.Right?

  • I said it was not advisable

the sun is not good for them

the weather has to be just right

and they can get out of places a mouse can get out of

if your yard isnt completely secure...I would nt chance it

Lucky was outside on a 13 acre ranch and had 3 legs and I stood right beside him in 69 degree weather

    thanks

  • yes,,,you must cover those wires

    all of them

any hardware store have wire covers

  • @fartingcow2149 dont put it in ur room they keep u up all night its good to have it in a place with out wires period id put it in a bathroom or a place where not tv
