Ferrari's red line at 8000 RPM, and when propperly launched they smoke their tires. I didn't hear any high revs on the audio, so I don't think the Ferrari driver was trying.

What's with you all? Isn't pretty obvious that the Lada must have had some great engine under its hood? They could have put an BMW M3 engine there and then it would be no surprise it was faster than the Ferrari,which is a 348 anyway and those did 0-60mph(0-100kph) in 6,0 seconds.348's are among the least liked Ferraris ever and most preferred the older 308's to them.
