I was always more interested in the technical details behind the loading system, in a vain attempt to do my own... It wasn't until I got a disk drive that my programs could finally display something other than a blank screen whilst loading :)
From what I remember, The best loading music was Cabel, If I also remember correctly, There use to be a cheat where if you press play on the tape it would skip you on each level to the final round
When I look back now... it's amazing what developers achieved with that SID chip in the C64. Been years since I heard this (as emulators sadly don't include loader tracks these days), thanks for uploading :)
If I understood you correctly you are playing a cracked version of the game with an emulator? You can also download unckraced versions for c64 emulators (with full original content). Try typing "main tapes c64" with Google.
You are correct, yes I am playing cracked versions. I still have my original C64 and Operation Wolf in the attic, lol. But the emulators save alot of hassle... Thanks for the tip man - will have to try that one :)
This is very similar with loader 4, but I decided to upload this anyways. Loader 1 is very similar to loader 2 too and I decided not upload loader 1, because it wasn't used in many games.
The best FPS there's ever been.

Sometimes standalone loader music was better than the game... ;))
