I wouldnt put chemicals on the ground, machine probably does the job.

Hi there, I am planning to re-do my lawn. Do you know if it is necessary to chemically "kill" the grass before the tilling? or the actual tilling kills it. Someone told me to kill it so I make sure weeds are gone as well.

Spray to kill old grass about 2 weeks before you strip the old grass off.
