  • not a good idea...you put that resistor as a bleeder but you dont have a capacitor to bleed instead...even you charge your phone the whole night i guess nothing will happen.....hahaha..

  • bad idea!

  • And it Works for All Phones Right? Bla Bla Bla. Retard of the Year!!!

  • which resistor is used here i mean band colours?

  • BUT I DON'T HAVE A CELLPHONE CHARGER.

  • And doesnt it make problems to my cellphone??

  • okay if I didn't have my charger, why the hell would I have a resistor or whatever it is!

  • @626twilightfan my thoughts exactly

  • This is inefficient and stupid. That resistor wastes so much energy as heat. If you use a voltage regulator instead, you can use your batteries longer and do more charges.

  • @bbjoe666 wow your such a douche bag GET A LIFE

  • @bbjoe666 Does the voltage regulator doesn't heat and waste energy .

  • cool! :D where did you get that red box thingy? sorry noob...lol thanks.. ciao! :)

  • it works.....thanks alot !!

  • what is that red thing

  • what colors are the resistor

  • @Lizzylooish red black gold

  • How to use this with iPhone 3G

  • Thats a little dodgy, the theory is good but not all phones require the same voltage. and depending on the internal resistance of the phone. the resistor may or may not be adequate. basic voltage regulator would be far more suited. Some are regulated internally and will withstand a range of voltages. they arent all. so its risky, Be carefull!

  • good useful work man....

  • lol not as easy:P i had an old phone and really wanted to see it because I found it in the garbage, the original battery's didn't work so i hooked a 3V battery up:P 3.4Volts to 9Volts isn't to bad:P

  • did you try it at another phone ? :D

  • It works ::D:D:D:D !!!! YEEEEY!!

thanks maaaan!!!...I will try it at another phone!!..

at my nokia 5140i it works perfectly :D:D:D!!!

    thanks again!!!

  • Sorry, I'm not electro geek...Why resistor? And, where did you find that red box, right thing for 4 batteries? :D

  • for what is the resistor?

  • can you use C batteries instead?

  • a tutorial video without sound OR text is garbage.

  • @thedevster DITTO

  • @ erikanoemy1982 Wtf Aree Uyhh Sayinn

  • @bowwow968

what the hell are you typing?

  • super.. chico. pero no se que tipo de material utilizaste, bueno dime cuales son aparte del cable las pilas y otra cosa que no se que es.. unas cositas pequeñas... me interesa hacer eso...

  • hey i have the 220 ohm resistors, would it work??

  • awesome!!

  • ebay!

  • iz thiz video working okay

  • sound would be nice

  • i don't have these items...FML

  • stupid waste of fucking time...ur wasting money on batteries

  • Great idea, with one major problem, where will I find an 2 om resistor when cell battery is needed in emergency cases. It is easier to find a batt. charger than an resistor.

Idea is interesting but useless.... sorry.

  • @RrahimStruja you supposed to build the deck for usual batteries before need it.

  • if your going camping out in the middle of noowhere with no access to a mains supply then this would be a good emergency charge for the phone or if there were to be a power cut.

Theres always a method in the madness

  • Simple and effective :)

  • ya, actually looks very very extremely simple and a child's play, but the most difficult part is to make the battery holder :( i cant find any at the local stores here. i'd to hire a carpenter to do that, yet i donno how i'll fix the springs etc

  • Maplin electronics, radioshack or another electronics store should have them :)

  • a carpenter.... lmao use tape

  • what is good when you are in out door.

if you are in indoor use the normal charger beacuse little battery wast.

  • lol thats abit stupid as it costs more than charging through the mains, the battries from a supermarket cost £4+ and in market £1.50. Charge it thru the mains much cheaper!!! ps the battries will last 1 or 2 time, normal fone battries 3.7V them battries 1.5v each = 6v

  • hello people!! why buy all this shit when you can get a charger for 10 bucks!! saves you alot of work too...well unless you have nothing to do then i understand

  • my fone charger port broke so a charger is useless for me...its either this or a whole new fone which i cant afford rite now lol

  • you use this idea on emergency situation... 4 batteries is 6 volt... a cellphone need a 5.3 to 5.5 voltsto be charged, it depend on the model/brand ... its correct to use a resistor to avoid a damage your precious cellphone...

  • what value of resistor that im going to use

  • go maplins its like £0.50

  • If you are going to just spend money on a resistor or batteries why not just buy a regular phone charger

  • because this way you dont need to be plugged into a wall

  • its way cooler. and if it works, you just accomplished something and you feel pretty kick ass

  • how long i have to charge my phone batterie at the begining. I just buy it today and i have all use my batterie. I heard it was like 15h but not sure

  • too easy

  • ya,like ,isn't this too simple

  • Is the resistor a must have, as my phone requires 5V so if I have 4 recharageable 1.2V cells (4.8V), will it work????

  • The resistor will protect your phone from the spike current when you first hook it up. The spike current would happen because of capacitors and coils in the phone's circuit, and this could burn out small fragile resistors.

  • thanks, i have now done this and it works brilliantly!!!

  • WTF is a resistor?

  • i just clicked on this then i noticed the snakes and arrows symbol!!!....RUSH RULES!!!!!!!!!

  • Uh...without sound I have absolutely NO idea wtf you're doing nor why you are doing it. Is the resistor REALLY necessary? Couldn't I just connect the wires from the Battery Holder to the wires leading to the charger?

My current idea is to use a Cordless Phone to charge it by hooking the adapter leading to the batter pack up to my charger.

  • thats what i want to do. did it work? (if you tried?)

  • It did in a way. But it charged way too slow. I ended up just cutting the end off an old charger and connecting it straight to the battery (lining up the positive and the negative) and put it in the phone to keep it stationary.

That works a lot better, it doesn't display the "charging" sign, but after leaving it on there all night, you'll notice a difference.

My prongs are all fucked up inside my phone where the charger goes, so I've had to charge the phone like this for the past 2 months.

  • okay thats what i ended up doing last night. it works pretty good so far. thanks :)

  • Great!

  • Um when you charge your cell phone with the charge which you made how much time the batteries stay before they die ?

  • then u use the phone u just charged with the now flat battery and call for help ....

  • THANX

  • just charge it in the wall or in ur car thatz kinda a waste of time

  • Because every keeps spare wires and resitors in their car, right?

  • What is that little red box from... where can i get one??

  • Mate if you dont know what is the red box dont try this as you can fry your phone :)

  • Where's the sound?

  • i got the nokia 6070 too... nice mobile.. by the way nice video :D :D

  • Mate make voice comments, and you had to mention that it is really necessary to take NOT 2 Om resister but it should suit the phone cause all phones diffrent input voltage!!!
