  • Ich liebe deine Werke ^^ I love your Arts ♥

  • AY-3-8910? :)

  • this is very cute. i'll prepare something like this work.

  • At 1:25 Does anyone else see that lady steal the biscycle sitting outside the store ?

  • Ironically it seems to be attracting people to look in xD

  • I want buy 這東西有賣嗎?

  • Absolutely LOVE the fun playful nature of this creative project!

  • He wrote the vision software in Processing.

  • This is too funny!

  • didn't it just make the problem worse

  • So this is a curtain made to prevent people from looking inside that causes them to stand in front of your window for five minutes?

  • Interesting and fun but U can't help thinking that buying a larger curtain would be so much simpler.. and more effective.

  • brilliant!

  • cute idea. i feel like some of the people are acting though…

  • this made me lol

  • That looks like Berlin

  • @MichaelRCaron

    It IS Berlin.

  • hamma!

  • awesome idea, really funny too! only caveat is that the music imho could get a bit annoying, and i like alot of older games 8bit music, just think would have been better mixed in with some other music also for this vid, but that doesn't matter- this is still PURE AWESOME!

  • But doesn't he understand that by creating this moving curtain he just got all 500 of those people to stare into his window for 10 min each. Privacy fail.

  • It's a wonderful form of art. Especially in todays culture, when real privacy does not exist. And the music is great.

  • Y SI SE PARAN 3 PERSONAS AHI LA JODEN

  • @Proxy102 pff jaja de veras, que pasaria si hubiera tres personas paradas en lugares distintos??

a cual seguiria, o de plano ni se moveria? xD

  • Love it!

  • Greatttttttttttttt, Greatttttttttt and Funnyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy ... Respects from Brazil South America.

  • this is the best thing happened to me today! thanks!

..curiosity: how you did the "software connection" between the camera and processing?? i couldn't find that on your website.

    you are great, man!

  • 29 people are too dumb to appraise the technical fun of this video

  • 1:51 those are some sharply dressed gentlemen! Is that a bum-bag?

    Fun project though!

  • that is so funny

  • you should go for @royrobotiks you should go for multi layer moving curtains.. as it has some trouble when its on one side and the pedestrian enters from the other side. great job, and funny to watch the recordings :D

  • i laughed so hard thanks!

  • Old man at 1:50 pwnt you.

  • @tehmadcap No fair, two people at once is cheating.

  • and what if you have multiple people walking? install multiple curtains?

  • like a little ghost

  • I wish there was some way to more than favorite this. I love it to pieces. If I knew anything about motors and all that jazz I would do something similar.

  • Overkill is underestimated.

  • Wise old man at 1:31 : he tricks your stuff.

  • amazing

  • It gets confused easily.

  • And then a virus was created...

  • maybey a little idea to make the quirtain go to the middle when no people are around so its faster on the other side cus in the first part the girls could clearly look inside when its in the middle it would reach the other side faster making it more effective

  • great job !!!!

  • The irony is that the camera is filming the people outside and then the video is posted on youtube. Talking about privacy!

  • That's so hilarious.

  • Really awesome idea & video!

  • Good work keeping those 3 hot chicks from seeing you

  • haha, that's plain awesome! :D

  • 我的一小塊隱私 很有趣:)

  • So much win for such a small curtain. What an incredible video! This has lightened my day :D

  • I think the point of this video is to show that a guy has a tiny curtain on a fan belt that is attached to a motor and guided by a security camera and positioning software to be in front of someone looking in his window.

The point of having this contraption, on the other hand, is to demonstrate stupid computer tricks.

  • so much win

  • What is the name of the movement tracer software?

  • Make it a ghost that follows you for halloween!

  • in soviet russia the curtain watches YOU.

  • i see a need to have a good working PID loop

  • very awesome!

Given its reaction time would it possibly have been better to have it reset to the middle after a certain time so it could get to either side relatively quick?

  • I love it! Great job haha

And the music of the video rocks!

  • Very awesome. Seems to work really well for a pet project.

  • i like it , when you have the production version tell to me, is the best idea that i listen on october.

    Thanks

  • creative as hell

  • SO FUNNY on so many levels! I love how the curtain is so lacey and 'grandma'. And the urgency of the curtains movements! I couldn't stop laughing.

  • haha nice

  • 22 people pressed the like button. That somehow makes them a**holes.

  • We think privacy is serious business, but we love the fun and cleverness in this solution!

  • Great. Now if only someone would make a magic robotic curtain that could do away with all the Nazi-like Unreasonable Search & Seizure Violations SHRUB & OBAAAMA's minions force on law-abiding American Citizens every day we'll be set.

  • Why is the whole idea, the design of this video and the music appropriate to the hipster culture? Hipsters can't build robotic curtains... I don't understand.

  • haha, very nice!

  • Comment removed

  • Brilliant! I was actually laughing out loud :)

  • genius xD

  • LSDJ! yüa! :)

    mir scheiss egal

ich lass mir flügel wachsen - heb dann ab....

  • 1 word : cheapskate

  • Super Nice 100% funy

  • Curtain needs to be thicker.

  • Eine sehr geniale Idee. Da ist doch Videoüberwachung und Videosensorik mal sinnvoll eingesetzt. Vor dem Schaufester muß man einfach stehenbleiben! Aber warum?

  • beta

  • Haha cool to see people play around with it

  • This is a funny idea but it looks like it's poorly implemented. The curtain flaps all over the place and seems to make violent jumps (see at 2:20 for example). Looks like a badly designed controller.

  • Lousy control design...

  • that old guy is the best

  • I fucking hate society. "Whats this, a super cool robotic curtain that follows my every move? I'll just keep on walking."

If I were there I'd be like duuuuude thats awesomeeeee!

  • The concept is pretty cool...the programming needed to be tweaked to follow better. It was too skittish imo for servo control.

  • haha super teil wie bist du da drauf gekommen und wie lange hats gedauert ???

  • what happens when two people are on opposite sides of the window?

  • Actually, all this will do is ATTRACT attention to his window.

  • Robotic curtain is great! I really liked the zoom transition at 0:51 - the computer looked like it was floating. Great work!

  • yup, that should really stop people from trying to look in the window

  • LOL

  • "KA_STADT"?

  • funny thigh yeachh

  • 超好笑的

     裡面有些路人反應很有趣!

    假如我經過一定也會這樣玩!

  • fantastic!

  • it's just a dog shit

  • GaiL

  • Love it. Besides ingenious concept, the movement algorithm seems very accurate!

  • You are so fantastic, what an imaginative idea. Thumbs up!

  • i want one. wish the camera also showed it from the street view outside looking in when people walked by

  • What if two people pass in different directions at the same time?

  • Comment removed

  • @Qber4life Looks like it gets humanely confused if that happens. Isn't that charming?

  • WE NEED MAOR!

  • buy bigger curtains

  • lol @ 1:50 the curtain was like "gah wtf do I do?!"

  • Make the sheet into a sheet ghost for haloween

  • I would do this if I lived on the ground floor.

  • very cool

  • lotsa volvos on that there street.

  • Only in Germany...

  • For your next project I'd like to see you make a sign that comes on when a passerby makes eye contact. The message? "Don't Look Here!"

  • Problem is, what about 2 people at opposite ends of the window. . . ?

  • It would be sick if for Halloween you posted a video of this same device only with a ghost prop instead.

  • nice art

  • Very nice idea :) But need some improvment yet. But keep doing :)

  • Why not drawing a clown on the curtain ? lol

  • I think a lot of people in the comments are missing the point. The point isn't to have a tiny curtain which actually prevents people from seeing inside. One highly-rated comment pointed out the irony of the moving curtain attracting attention. That, my friends, IS the point. Let's take technology, and do something fun and silly with it. People see a small curtain, but then it starts to move, and follow them. WOW!

My hat's off to the video's poster. I was giggling like a schoolgirl as I watched.

  • Skynet curtain!

  • I don't know why but I find the concept a bit rude or antisocial.

  • Wow, I'm pretty sure you work for a great campagny and earn lot of money

  • Um. Bigger curtain. On rods. WTF?

  • can you explain the effect at 0:58? how did you do that transition with zooming into the notebook, its translated in 3D...?!

  • Really love the song, reminds of the 8Bit era :D

  • wow!

    What's really funny!

  • Whats cheaper? Big courtain or small courtain + 1 surveillance camera + the motor + the computer ?

  • Tiny curtain says no peeking.

  • honestly this is dumb

  • so this is how skynet started. its this guys fault that the future is destroyed, and killer robots come back in time and attempt to kill sarah connor. but for now skynet only controls a curtain, so we can relax.

  • @magnetmannenbannanen

    ROFL! :D

  • cool xD i want it too !

  • "And we're holdin' up the bypass

    Weh Oh

Me and my dad havin a top laugh

    Weh Oh

And I'm sittin on the toolbox

    oh ... " (JCB-song)

The JCB on the window sill is the icing on the cake ... I love this guys approach on technology :)

  • Totally useless!

  • When i was working at CCTV installation company, i have realized that it is pretty easy and relatively cheap to build a system which could have a camera and an AK-47 on a pan-tilt-zoom mount and a simple human detection software.

    Also, nice music!

  • Nice chiptune and nice project. I approve of you and your vital work, sir.

  • what's the song that starts playing at 0:53?

  • @SantasSalt The song is called "Teabag" and is made by me, holy Konni. Check the credits.

  • @SantasSalt The song is called "Teabag" and is made by holy Konni. Check the credits.

  • @SantasSalt Thats what I wanna know.... it is soo Epic!

  • Useless Stuff. But Funny!

  • @excail4 ITs for fun? :D

  • @excail4 Uhm, its about beeing funny, so you are the epic fail here sir.

  • LOL You need a store front to make people come in and ask about it... or you should sell this idea to a marketing firm to get people to stop and look...

  • the curtain successfully blocked 4 peoples view and they disliked it

  • lol I loved this! Great job!

  • great job, truly great job .... I hope you will get a contract with a big company

  • This is so fantastic. Really really great work.

  • It looks to me as if your curtain is overreacting and overshooting the mark frequently. Have you considered implementing, say, PID controller tuning to reduce overshoot and steady state error of the curtain's movements?

    Regardless, an awesome project!

  • 1:38 kawasaki ninja zx6r?

  • @amigojapan Why oh why is there always a person that has to call everything he sees on the internet fake?

Seriously, it's not like it's impossible to make this kind of thing. In what year are you living mentally? :P

  • @Davemech Well, I didint say it was impossible. After going into the website and downloadign the program to control the curtain, I guess it looks more credible. Its just thet there are so many fake things on youtube. like Liquid Mountaneering. I am a skeptic. my initial position is, things are fake until proven true.

  • @amigojapan That is one way to look at things. I just enjoy the videos and love the creativity. I don't care if it may be fake. Though I still think that calling this a fake is kinda ridiculous. It's not a rocket ship. It's funny :)

  • @amigojapan did you miss the part with the motion tracking? Or the part with the motor?

  • hahahahahha, ridiculous :D but interesting... what happens if you have 2 or more people peeping though?...

  • this is a really interesting idea, but funny as hell, due to what people think of it on the streets xD

  • A little useless, but a really funny project :D

  • It's about the people not the curtain... Love it

  • Comment removed

  • nice one :-)

  • i love it! :)

  • Surely Venetian Blinds would have been an easier option? :)

  • you need to fix the bottom and add 2nd motor there

  • that's fantastic!

  • Priceless :D

  • epic idea!

  • Actually... it attracts even more attention. And one part of the video shows the flaw. If the curtain is on the other end as of the by-passer, he/she might be able to see thru for seconds before it was covered.

  • Genius! I love it!

  • great concept, the only suggestion i can make is making the curtain slightly heavier.

  • cool

  • you use a openframework?

o what program to use the tracking budy?

    :D

  • great concept and great video!

  • great concept and great video!
