I think he disappeared like he was supposed to in the first place. He was just able to hold off and when he finally killed Van he dissappeared or died or whatever you wanna call it.

i think that the Luke appear at the last ending is another Replica which Jade made(before the last battle just a little while,Jade say he will rethink of making Replica,so i think it could be possisble if the new Replica can have the memory of the old Luke),well,anyone can answer it,am i right ?

1. It´s passed 3 years since the final battle (it´s the year of Luke´s coming of age). So his hair has grown.

2. Luke´s hair falls the his left, while Asch´s falls to the right. In the end, the hair is to the left, which means its Luke.

4. And most important. It´s Luke who made the promisse to Tear, not Asch.

While I do think it is Luke 100%, I noticed something about his sword...

Yes, it's positioned on his back and positioned the the way so a lefty would be comfortable (Luke's a lefty), but it's facing the opposite way Luke's sword usually does. The hilt is usually on his left side and in the end it's on his right...

Also... I dunno, maybe they did fuse... Watch the Jap opening with subs. The lyrics go, "We are one" at the end and the OP has a lot to do with the game otherwise as well.

Yes! everyone notice's the hand twitch and it gets your hopes up for a single second Asch will revive. The only explination is they fused, which is why Luke has long hair again at the end ;_;..

I think i prefer the JP voice actors but maybe it's because i heard most of the characters' voices from other animes before. In my opinion i feel that usually the japanese va are able to put more emotion into the characters, but that's just me. Iono, i think Tear's english voice is too low she sounds more of a adult than a teen.

As for the other voices, voices like VAN used for SIRIUS from the GU series ,LUKE used for SASUKE from NARUTO and HASEO in the GU/ROOTS series, and the voice of Mieu used for just about every childish annoying character in anime, it seems like they are starting to sterotype character voices (A depressing power hungry kid who changes his outlook on life with help of his friends - Haseo, Luke, Sasuke) See? It does kind of get annoying.

I agree though, for the most part, the english did just as good as the JP, i actually like Johnny Yong Bosch more as Guy.

Call me crazy(don't), but I think I prefer the english version. If nothing else, I like how Tear sounds more mature, despite the fact she's only 16 (what's with anime girls always being so young?!). Sure, the actress could've put some more emotion into the voice, but it really fits Tear's character more (english).

Kind of barely sorry if that makes little sense, I am so tired right now and am NOT, in any way shape or form, thinking straightly or in a proper mind set.

I remember when I first beat the game and after Luke disappeared, I was like, "wtf, that's it?! He fucking died?!" But I stopped cussing afterwards, but I won't spoil that here.

And if the fucking manga isn't interpreted into english, I'm seriously going to take some fucking japanese courses so I can read it (after i get a copy...somehow... volunteers?) But I did find a site that has Ch.1 translated. Check it.

I was so sad and was about to start bawling like a baby when the part after the credits came up, then I was happier. :) I like the extra game thing they have after the end...the game starts over but you can have things from your previous journey, like money or journal entries. It's a way fun game.

I love this game! I mean I actually do. I cant say im a really "BIG" tales fan for ive only ever played this, symphonia and phantasia. But I must say I enjoy all the tales series stories and what not. This I must say was my favorite, I cried at the end XD

The Tales series is similar to Final Fantasy in that almost all of them take place in a new world with new characters every time.

There are a couple of exceptions, Tales of Phantasia and Tales of Symphonia take place in the same world, but are about 4,000 years apart, and obviously Tales of Destiny and Tales of Destiny 2 take place in the same world, and involve many of the same characters, plus some new ones.

I disagree, the ending was good how it was. Having Asch die was very important to the Story. After all, with him around Luke could not think of himself as being anything more then a replica taking a place of another, even though he believed in his own existance. Without the death I would of considered how it ending kind of dule, after all, death is a good part of a story.
