People forget. Windows 7 has everything Windows Surface has. You only need the hardware. Win 7 perfectly supports multi touch screens but Microsoft never gave a shit to show off. Buy a multi touch display and you will see.

@MrRedskins0021 The Only piece of equiptment i own that is apple is my itouch. And it just so hapens that i own a microsoft computer and an xbox 360. So the 'fanboy' aspect can be put to one side. I said those things as an opinion. Microsoft are prone to terrible failures in the hardware industry. I believe that yes at first look it is a technological advance. However the countless patching and errors would overwhelm the product and it would become unpopular amongst your average person.

Theoretically it should be possible to turn any table into such an interface. Maybe Nintendo will do it. :-)

Yes, I have driven cars like this. However, none displayed G force. These displays are made to convey info on other vehicles as well as what is going on with yours.

If you think it is a game (since that is your reaction to it) then you are not responsible. I do not even drive with music on (very often I will) because driving is not something one should feel "comfortable" doing. That is what causes accidents

A lot of people say it's like the iPhone, but its touch screen is better because it is video-based and not heat-based. iPhone will only recognize fingers because of the heat-based touch screen, which is a bummer for people with larger fingers. I like iPhone, but I like object recognition and the ability to use a stylus better.

Its a shame that they cant be completely honest with this stuff. Yes the interface is a great thing, really fun, but they are very misleading when they say you can just drop any old credit card or camera onto the table and have it recognise it when it wont. But i still look forward to seeing this interface in the mainstream more.
